Production ramped up dramatically during WW II for various military vehicles, such as the M4 tanks. In 1947, the transmission factory was built (only built engines at the time), and was the first major milestone expansion after WW II. In 1955, the first power-shift transmission was made for the D8/D9 track-type tractor. In 1974, the building was renovated to be a transmission factory, and it has gone through several more major renovations since then.
