The love in 1 John is love that can move one from death to life, that can call us to lay down our lives for one another, that transforms the world. God, help us to abide in Your love so that You can transform the world through our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen. WEEKEND MUSIC: "Children of the Heavenly Father" text by Swedish hymn writer, Carolina (Lina) Sandell-Berg. The tune, TRYG- GARE KAN INGEN VARA, is a Swedish folk melody, which translated, is: "No One Can Be Safer". I appreciate the thought that we can be no safer than we are as God's children. As we sing this hymn may we be reminded of God's care, protecon and love in all the moments of life for we are claimed as God's children. Geneva Lutheran has been named a member of Northern Illinois Bank’s Circle of Hope Society be- cause of our efforts to feed hungry neighbors. During FY 2018, NIFB provided nearly 66 million meals to hungry neighbors and added a fourth distribu-on center. Every week, each distribu-on center serves over 300 individuals!
