United in Struggle
Wembley Arena plays host to Africa Unplugged, Europe’s largest African Concert.
Africa Unplugged Music Festival 2012 will be the first of its kind and will feature 20 Artists and cater to over 12,000 atendees on Bank Holiday 27th of August 2012.
The event will celebrate the rich diversity that exists within African culture through music, by showcasing the most popular african artist. The Artists will be selected by the general public through a nation-wide on-line voting campaign.
A number of charities have been hand picked to benefit from the event, as we celebrate and create awareness of some of the issues that affect africa.
Africa Unplugged will promote a ONE AFRICA, united in the struggle against Poverty, Genocide, Hunger, Drought, War and HIV, by unifying over 15 couintries from South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, Congo, Zimbabwe and Uganda through

CHARITIES
War Child is an international charity that protects children from the brutal effects of war and its consequences. They currently work in Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Iraq and Uganda. They are on the ground - supporting the most vulnerable children who are too often forgotten in the aftermath of conflict.
Save the Congo is an independent, not-for-profit organisation staffed by a team of Congolese students and young professionals advocating the restoration of human rights (as set out in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and subsequent United Nations conventions and declarations) as well as promoting the restoration of peace, security and justice in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
