Most peopleknow the basic necessi-ties to pack, but whatabout ways to enhancethe travel experience, notjust make it happen?

Americans willtake more than 2 billiontrips for business andpleasure this year, theU.S. Travel Associationestimates. Here are sometips to keep in mind whenpreparing for your nexttrip:

Technology for Travel• Electronics ac-

cessories. Keep your de-vices charged andrunning with power con-verters, adapters andtransformers. These toolswill come in handy, espe-cially for international

travel. Converters areused to fit the plug-in onthe wall, while adaptersand transformers helpprevent battery damage. This power can be usefulfor items such as hair dry-ers, shavers, laptops orcell phones.

• Access tonews. One of the mostimportant aspects of tak-ing a trip is knowing aboutthe area you’re travelingto—but it doesn’t hurt tostay updated on what’shappening at home aswell. PressReader pro-vides travelers full-con-tent access to more than2,500 newspapers andmagazines worldwide, sothey can keep up on thelatest news from theirsmartphone, tablet or lap-top.

This digital news-

stand gives you the op-tion to translate any arti-cle into 16 languages, soyou can read local storiesin your native language.

PressReader isavailable at various hotelsand resorts, airportlounges and cruise shipsaround the world. Formore information or to tryPressReader, visitwww.pressreader.com.

• GPS trackers.Ever worry about losingyour valuable items whentraveling? Constantlychecking your pockets foryour cell phone or pass-port? With GPS trackers, travelers can add tags totheir cell phones, pass-ports, luggage, car keysand more. So when theylose something important, they can find it using theGPS remote.

Healthy Travel• A first aid/emer-

gency kit. Keep a smallbag in your carry-on lug-

gage for when unex-pected situations arise. You can load this up withthe typical items, likebandages and aspirin, butgo beyond that by pack-ing an empty water bottle, snack, sleeping aid, vita-min C and more.

• Hand sanitizer. One of the best ways toruin a business trip or va-cation is falling ill. Whilemany people try to protectthemselves with alcohol-based sanitizers, whatthey don’t realize is thatthese types of productsdon’t reduce illness.

There is a prod-uct, however, that is ef-fective and works forhours: Zylast. This revolu-tionary new hand sani-tizer kills germs oncontact, but is also per-sistent for six hours—un-like alcohol-basedsanitizers that stop work-ing after 15 seconds. Zy-last is the only sanitizereffective against the com-mon cold, flu andnorovirus, which are themain bugs infecting trav-elers.

For more infor-mation and to receive a10 percent discount onyour order, visit www.zy-lastdirect.com and enterthe code travel10.

• Motion sicknessmedication. If you’reprone to motion sicknessor not a seasoned trav-eler, motion sicknessmedication can help whileon an airplane, boat or ina car. You can also addsome ginger to youremergency kit, as studieshave found it alleviatesthe nausea associatedwith motion sickness.Green apples and crack-ers are other naturalremedies.

Keep these tipsin mind as you embark onyour next business trip orleisure travel adventure.

His lifechanged when he waspicked up by ManateeAnimal Services in Pal-metto, FL, turned overto Skyway Border Col-lie Rescue and postedon Petfinder.

"I started outteaching him to dustthe furniture, and thenit turned into painting,"Morrissey says. It tookabout five weeks oftraining to master theskill, and he seems tolove it.

"We have to doit every night before hegoes to bed." He re-

quires a little assis-tance: Lisa loads abrush with paint, andhe takes it between hisjaws and begins hiswork. His paintings areabstract -- but then sowere Jackson Pol-lack's.
