This past Sunday I briefly went over the possible mission trips that our church may be taking this year. Some of them are firm in going
and some are based on who is willing to go for them to happen. So I wanted to give that list of trips and events again so that many of you
may start to think and pray about how you may fit or be involved in these opportunities. Let me encourage you to not allow the excuses to
form in your mind before effectively reading and praying about how God may use you this year on the mission field. Also, let us be
reminded that our biggest mission field is right around us even today and you may want to pray about doing something with an eternal
value around our own community. There may be other opportunities this year that are not listed below, so continue to pray God will open
and shut doors where He may.
Smile, Rev Kev
Family Encouraged Trips - Deadline for participating in these trips is mid-march
Indianapolis Familyfest 2015 - July 18-22
Familyfest is recommended for anyone first grade and older . . . perfect for families, adult teams, and student teams. Through Familyfest,
volunteers assist churches and ministries in partnership with the state WMU and local Baptist associations in reaching the physical and
spiritual needs of those in their communities. The cost of the trip is dependent of family size starting at $120 per individual up to a family
of 6 at $450. For more info please see Pat Hamblin or go to wmu.com 2015 Mission Trips.
Jamaica 2015 - July 25 - Aug. 1
(From a ministry partner) Join us in the beautiful mountains of Guy's Hill, Jamaica for a wonderful cultural experience. This is our 8th
year going to serve this community. Children walk for miles to attend our VBS each morning. They love to do act-out Bible stories, sing,
play games and do crafts! The afternoons are filled with various ministry opportunities, whether prayer walking and inviting people to
our nightly revivals, playing sports with the children or helping out refurbish a home or the local school, there is a place for everyone to
serve. Last year our medical team saw over 400 people and 600 teeth were pulled by our dentists. We had over 200 professions of
faith. We do nightly revivals at the church and also did street revivals last year! God is at work in Guy’s Hill, won’t you join Him???
This is a wonderful family mission trip! We stay in the homes of the local Jamaican church people. We always think we are going to help
these people but what happens is God always works in the lives of our team members in an amazing way. You will experience God on a
whole new level!! Cost is approximately $1200-$1400 depending on airfare. God will provide the $$ for your trip... all you have to be is
available!! For more info please see Kevin Dix.
Youth Trip - Deadline to sign-up for this trip is mid-March
Mission Chicago, Illinois - July 11-18
We will be working alongside a NAMB Church Planter who has started a new fellowship from an existing church in the southeastern part
of Chicago. A church named Temple Baptist was a few weeks away from shutting the doors for good, but now the Lord is at work in this
area and through a few willing people the church is now undergoing a transformation since last year. It is now in the beginnings of its
ministry to the community with a new name in Transformation Church. We will likely be helping with various community events, sports,
VBS, and other opportunities. Cost is $150 -see Kevin Dix for more info.
