Opole Voivodeship lies in the South of Poland, is bordered by Lower Silesian Voivodeship to the west, Great Poland Voivodeship and Łódź Voivodeship to the north and Silesian Voivodeship to the east, and the Czech Republic to the south. Most areas of the region makes the western part

of Upper Silesia, and the whole region is called of Opole Silesia.The main river of province is the Oder. Other the greater rivers of the region this is Mała Panew

and Nysa Kłodzka. The largest lakes those are artificial reservoirs such as Nyskie Lake, Otmuchowskie and Turawskie Lakes. Opole is the capital of the province.

Kamień Śląski - as early as 1104, at the time of Boleslaw the Wry-mouthed, existed here stronghold.It was the seat of knights dynasty Odrowąż. As the legend here was born St. Jack. In the seventeenth century the new owners of the castle has rebuilt it as a palace.

Among the fields and forests at the foot of Mount of St. Anna is situated the Żyrova village. Residents are proud of the beautiful palace, a wonderful park, and the old church which goes back 700 years.

The complex of franciscan monastery includes : the baroque church of St. Anne, the Paradise Square - courtyard of pilgrimage and monastery, rebuilt in the eighteenth century.
