The residue from the terraced gardens of the palace

Founder of this palace was the Dutch Princess Marianne , wife of Albert IV of Hohenzollern, the youngest son of King of Prussia. It is a four-storey building with four corner towers, its grand scale simply is entrancing. The palace was surrounded by Italian-style garden with lots of ponds and fountains (from some of them water spurted to a height

over 30 meters!) and sculptures. The cost of building the entire palace complex has been estimated at 3 tons of gold!
