• MS Word is a word processing application that allows

you to create a variety of documents like letters, flyers,

and reports

• It was first released in 1983 under the name Multi-Tool Word for Xenix systems

• Commercial versions of Word are licensed as a standalone product or as a component of Microsoft Office

• Word has incorporated a number of functions of a

desktop publishing software

Hypothesis test for the independent sample t-test involves five stages; from stating the hypotheses to

conclusion. As a student, you should understand and be able to make the appropriate calculations and

make decision based on the given decision criteria.

1. State the hypothesis

HO: μ1 = μ2

HA: μ1 ≠ μ2
