4.2 Cabinet Top Cover Installation

It is required to install top covers for the cabinets in a non-overlaying installation or for the cabinet on top of anoverlaying installation.

1. 1. Place the top cover on top of the cabinet.

2 4 M122. Fasten the top cover with four M12 inner hexagon screws, which are provided with steel washers.

4.3 Cabinet Base Fastening

1. 4

1. Place the base to a proper position as per designrequirements, and then determine the hole drillingpositions for the 4 expansion bolts.

2. 16mm 80mm

2. Drill holes of 16 mm in diameter and 80 mm in

depth on the determined hole positions. Strike theexpansion bolts vertically into the holes, until theyare flush with the ground.

3. Put the M12 screws through cabinet base,insulation washer, flat washer, spring washer andnuts in turn, and then fasten the base on theground.

4.4 Installing a Cabinet to Its Base1 2 +2 M12 RC8910A

Installation Method 1: Two dowel pins & two M12 inner hexagon screws (used to fasten the RC8910Acabinet to its base)

M8 Dowel pin: M8 inner hexagon screws are used tofasten it to the base.

M12 M12 screws, provided with rubber washers, are used tofasten the cabinet to its base.

1. M8

1. Use two M8 inner hexagon screws to fasten thedowel pin to the back of the base, on which holesare provided holding pin installation. Note that thedowel pins must be installed vertically to thebase; or else, it will be difficult to install thecabinet.

2. RC8910A

2 Place the RC8910A cabinet on the base, and push itbackwards steadily, until the dowel pins are insertedin the fixing holes completely, and the sides of cabinetshould align to those of the base. Be careful not to gethurt while pulling the cabinet because the cabinetmay slide out of the base.

3. 2 M12

3. Use two M12 inner hexagon screws, which areprovided with rubber washers, to fasten the

cabinet to the base.

4. Use the door holderto get the cabinetdoor secured whileinstalling the cabinetand cables.

In the four bottom corners of the BBU cabinet, use M12inner hexagon screws, which are provided with rubberwashers, to fasten the BBU cabinet to the base or theRFS cabinet.

1. In the four bottom corners of the battery cabinet, useM12 inner hexagon screws, which are provided withrubber washers, to fasten the battery cabinet to thebase.

2. 2. Install the bottom plate of battery to its original

position after the battery cabinet is fastened to thebase.

4.5 Cabinet Overlapping

Before one cabinet is overlaid on another cabinet, remove the cable trough cover plates (on both sides) and thecable hole cover plates (in the middle) on top of the cabinet.

1. Remove the screwthat fastens the cabletrough cover plateand then remove thecover plate.

2. 2. Remove the four screws that fasten the cable hole

cover plate inside the cabinet and then remove thecover plate.

3.Use four M12 inner hexagon screws, which areprovided with rubber washers, to fasten the upper

cabinet to the lower one, through the screw holeson the four bottom corners of the cabinet.

4 4. Remove the cable hole cover plates from the bottom of

the upper cabinet.

5. 5. Fasten the cable hole assemblies to the

positions, where cable hole cover plates areremoved.

6. Secure the screws on the four corners of the cablehole assembly to fasten the cable hole assembly tothe lower side of the cable hole.

7. Fasten the cable hole assemblies to the cableholes with the screws that previously fasten thecable hole cover plates.

The cable hole assembly must be installed securelyand tightly, or else, water may soak through thecabinet.

Cabinet overlaying is completed.

Note: You must install a top cover to the cabinet priorto the cabinet overlaying.

Fastening and overlaying of cabinets are completed.

5. Module Installation

5.1 BC8910A Module Installation in BC8910A Cabinet

BC8910A

For the BC8910A cabinet, the power monitoringmodule (the right module in the red box) and therectifier module are required to be installed on site.

1. Insert the power monitoring module smoothly tothe far right slot, until the external side of themodule is flush with the shelf. Fasten the captive

screw on the lower part of the module to fastenthe module.

2. To insert the rectifier module, lift the handle on thelower part of the module, and then insert themodule to the corresponding slot smoothly, untilthe external side of the module is flush with theshelf, then release the handle.

5.2 RC8910A Module Installation in RC8910A Cabinet

The RC8910A cabinet can accommodate 6 RSU82modules. After the RSU82 modules are installed,connect the RSU82 power cables to the RSU82power ports. The RSU82 power cables are alreadyrouted to their respective slots.

RSU82 RSU82 RSU82 Align the protruding edges on the upper and lower sides to the guiding tracks of RSU82 slot and then push theRSU82 in to the slot smoothly.

5.3 PC8910A Battery Installation in PC8910A Cabinet

Tidily place the battery packs in the PC8910Acabinet, with the electrodes facing outside. When 4battery packs are configured, place them at the lowershelf; and when 8 battery packs are configured, loadboth upper and lower shelves with 4 battery packsrespectively.

Note: The relevant cables must be well routed beforethe battery packs are loaded, or else, it is difficult toroute them. Refer to 6.1.2 for details.

If only 4 battery packs are installed, the insulatedlayer on the terminals of unused battery cables mustbe reserved.

6. Cable Connections

6.1 B121 Cable connectionbetween BC8910A (B121 Power Supply) and PC8910A (Internal Cables)6.1.1 Making Preparations

1. BC8910A 1. Remove the waterproof rubber plugs from both

sides of the BC8910A cabinet.

2. 2. Route all the cables through the cable holes and keepthem in place.

3. 3. Insert different cables through different holes ofwaterproof rubber plugs, depending on their diameters.

4. 4. Re-install the waterproof rubber plug.

5. Use the ring spannerprovided in the RFScabinet to remove thescrew that fasten thecable trough cover plate,open the cable troughcover, install the requiredcables and then reinstallthe cover.

6. There are two cable holes on the left and right sidesof the battery cabinet bottom. A waterproof plug iscovered on the top of the cable hole. Remove thewaterproof plugs before routing cables, and re-installthe waterproof plugs after cable routing is done.

Precautions for Routing Cables A. 1/2/3 Cables 1, 2, and 3 are routed in the battery cabinet through the cable holes on the left side at the bottom of thebattery cabinet.

B. 4 Cable 4 goes into the battery cabinet through the cable hole on the right side of bottom of battery cabinet. Note thatthe plugs at both sides of cable hole should be kept in original positions after the cable is routed through. C. Protective tubes must be provided for the cables routed between cabinets. The length of protective tube shouldensure that no cable is exposed. The ends of protective tubes should be sealed with adhesive tapes D. 1/2/3/4 1/2/3 4

Cables 1, 2, 3, and 4 go through the external cable trough at the right side of RFS cabinet and then enter inside theBBU cabinet. The cables should be fastened via the cable fastening holes of the cable trough with the white cableties, with cables 1, 2, and 3 separating from cable No. 4. Note that the cables should be fastened flat on the cabletrough, or else, the cable trough cover plate can not be installed.

Cable Connections: 1. Connect the power cable of fan to the fan power port on the left wall of battery cabinet 2. Remove the protective paper on the probe of battery temperature transducer and stick the probe to the batterysurface. 3. Connect the access control cable to the access control cable port on the upper right of the battery cabinet. 4. Connect the battery power cable to the power switch on top of the battery cabinet.

1. Connect the “ B121_Load3_-48V” labeled terminal of fan power cable to the Load3 terminal of LLVD2 of B121power supply, and the “ B121_Load3_-48VRTN” labeled terminal to the power ground bar at the right side of BBUcabinet.

2. Connect the temperature sensor cable of the battery to the X1/X2 port. 3. The “TEC/DOOR” port of BBU cabinet provides a two-in-one cable, which has two connectors labeled as

“TEC” and “DOOR” respectively. Connect the access control cable to the “DOOR” connector. 4. Connect the black wire of battery power cable to the BATT1/2 -48V port, and the red wire to the BATT1/2

-48VRTN port. 5. Connect the battery cable to the AC-OUT port of B121.

After cable connections are done, the cables should be tidily and tightly fastened via cable fastening holes on the sidewall and bottom of cabinet.

Precautions for Routing Cables:

1. Cables 1, 2, and 3 are routed in the battery cabinet through the cable holes on the left side of bottom ofbattery cabinet.

2. Cable 4 goes into the battery cabinet through the cable hole on the right side of bottom of battery cabinet.Note that the plugs at both sides of cable hole should be kept in original positions after the cable is routedthrough.

3. Protective tubes must be provided for the cables routed between cabinets. The length of protective tubeshould ensure that no cable is exposed. The ends of protective tubes should be sealed with adhesive tapes.

4. Cables 1, 2, 3, and 4 go through the external cable trough at the right side of RFS cabinet and enter insidethe BBU cabinet. The cables should be fastened via the cable fastening holes of the cable trough with thewhite cable ties, with cables 1, 2, and 3 separating from cable 4. Note that the cables should be fastened flaton the cable trough, or else, the cable trough cover plate can not be installed.
