    6.4.1 Connection Preparation

Principle and Operations on Waterproof Module

Structure and Principles of waterproof module.

123 4Structure: The waterproof module is made up of vertical slider (1), horizontal slider (2), cable-through plug (3) and plug (4).Principles:

1The vertical slider exerts pressure downwards with the screw is screwed up.

    2

The horizontal sliders exert pressure to two sides with the downward pressure from the vertical slider to press the

cable-through plug, making it closely contact the cable in the cable-through hole, thus waterproof measure is achieved.

    RSU

Three (3) RF jumper cables of 2T4R RSU go through thewaterproof module at right; and three (3) RF jumper cables of

1T2R RSU go through the waterproof module at left.

    1. RSU

    ANT1~4 2T4R RSU 1T2R

ANT1(TX1/RX1A)ANT2(RX1B)As per the sequence from right to left, connect the RF jumpercables to ports ANT 1~4 of RSU. If the 2T4R RSU uses 1T2Ronly, connect the jumper cables to the ANT1 (TX1/RX1A) portand ANT2 (RX1B) port.

    2. 2 Install the corresponding waterproof plugs in position whenevery two RF jumper cables are connected.

    3.

When the jumper cables that are required to go through this

waterproof module are connected and their waterproof plugs areinstalled in position, insert the horizontal sliders.

    27/37

    4.

Insert the vertical slider, and then fix it to themaximum extent with a hexagon spanner

    5. 3 1T2R RSU

Install the three (3) RF jumper cables of the 1T2RRSU at left in the same way.

    6.

Note that the waterproof plugs should be tightly

pressed. The cable holes that are not used shouldhave their plugs in position.

    7.

Use the internal adjusting screw to adjust the cable outlet

plate at the cabinet base so that the opening size isminimized.

    8. After all cables are connected, install the front plate of the

cabinet base to its original position.

    7. Installation Check

    7.1

    Cabinet Installation Check

    SN

    Item

    Check

    1

The cabinet reliably fixed, with insulation washers, spring washers and flat washers correctlyinstalled.

    2

The waterproof modules should be tightly installed and the unused cable holes should havetheir plugs in position.

    3

    The installation space satisfies requirements.

    4

The front of the cabinet should have antistatic wrist straps provided.

    5

The unused terminals inside the cabinet should be handled properly.

    6

The screws on all modules should be fastened.

    7.2 Cable Connection Check

    SN

    Item

    Check

1The protection grounding wires of the equipment are properly installed to the nearest

    copper grounding busbar.

    2

Before connecting protection grounding wires, rust or dust should be removed from the

surface of the grounding terminal to ensure reliable connection.

    3

The naked wires and the copper lugs of power cables or grounding wires should be covered

with a tube or wrapped with insulation tape. The copper lug should match the cable.

    4

The power cables and grounding wires should be correctly and firmly connected in terms

of polarity. When the copper lug of a cable is connected to a terminal, flat washer andspring washer should be used and the spring washer should be pressed flat.

    5

The extra part of the grounding wires or power cables should be smoothly cut off rather

than coiled. A whole cable segment with good insulation layer should be used. Do not

    join two or more cables.

    6

    5cm

All cables (power cables, signal cables and pigtails) should be bound and laid by

classification, with a minimum parallel distance of 5cm.

    7

    300700mm

The cables should be evenly and firmly bound on the cable tray, with an interval ranging

    from 300mm to 700mm.

  • 8/13/2019 ZXSDR BS8900A Quick Installation Guide R2.0_CH_EN

    36/37

    8

The cables or pigtails inside and outside the cabinet should not hang in the air.

    9

The bending radius of a cable should meet the requirement.

    10

    DINN

The connectors of all cables should be properly and firmly connected. No DIN or N type

of connector is connected in a staggered way.

    11

    3-535mm)()

The black and white ties should not mix up: The white ties are used indoors, and itsend should be smoothly cut off; while the black ties are used outdoors and 3-5mm should

    be reserved at the end.

    12

    ,

The cable labels should face the same direction and be in correct format (or as required

by the customer if relevant documents are provided).
