Where We Started This Journey…• Over ½ of students reported

consuming soda pop and/or sugar-sweetened flavored drinks one or more times per day

• Only ¼ of Eldon students reported eating fruits and vegetables 5 or more times per day

• Only 53.3% of Eldon students reported daily breakfast consumption in the winter of 2013

Where Do We Travel From Here?• Eldon School District

receives a grant from Missouri Foundation For Health (MFH) to help combat childhood obesity

• Full time district wellness coordinator is hired for the school district

• Wellness committees are established in the district
