WHAT IS MEDIA? Media refers to different ways of
communication. For example, television, radio, and the newspaper are different types of media.
there are several different types of media new media, old media, media culture and media technology.
OLD AND NEW MEDIA
We are still using the old media but things are expanding. With television and radio there are so many more channels and now you can pause and record. We are still using new media for old media. A good example of that would be a simple telephone line and something like a book.
There is so much more new media such as twitter- it is connecting new media together as it is connecting videos and pictures to it. There is a lot of new media such as sky, mobile phones (you can even use the internet on them), video games and the internet.

Social media is a way of communicating with others and a way of keeping in contact.
Social media is growing there are new technologies out such as touch screen, mobile phones and iPods.
SOCIAL NETWORKS Social networking – are websites that
allow you to create a personal profile about yourself then chat, discuss and share information with others such as friends and family. Prime examples of social networking sites are MySpace, Bebo and Facebook.

Concept (art or information). Media (physical, electronic, or verbal). Social interface (intimate direct or
community engagement.

CONCLUSION As the years have gone by social media
has continued to grow and it is still growing.
Younger generations would not be able to live without new media such as sky, mobile phones and video games.
Social media is great for keeping in touch with others however it is not very good for privacy.
