Women’s ChorusRUTLAND The Ladies’ Night
Out Women’s Chorus will hold
its first rehearsal of the new

"Hotel Hell"The birthplace of pie a la mode
will once again gain national
attention when the infamous
TV chef Gordon Ramsay films
an episode of his new Fox
series “Hotel Hell” at the
Cambridge Hotel on Jan. 25 to
28. Ramsay, the British chef
known for his hit series “Hell’s
Kitchen,” and “Kitchen
Nightmares” will do a make-
over of the historic inn. For
the show, he will partner with a
team of hospitality experts to
help struggling privately-
owned hotels, inns and bed and
breakfasts. Ramsay himself
studied hotel management as a
young man. Built in 1885, the
Cambridge Hotel is currently
owned by local attorney John
Imhof, who bought the hotel
with his next-door neighbor
back in 2007 after it had been
closed for a year and a half.
Imhof and his friend had run a
pub before, but neither had
hotel or restaurant experience.
Today the Cambridge Hotel is
run by his daughters Shea and
Abigail. Imhof ’s wife Tina was
the one who applied to the TV
show in hopes of getting some
guidance for solving their
financial difficulties. People
who wish to be considered for a
stay in the hotel or for a dining
reservation during filming
should email cambridge-
[email protected]. While
hotel guests can stay for no
charge, diners will have to pay
for their own food and drink
bills. The Cambridge Hotel is
located at 4 West Main Street in
Cambridge, NY.
Book GroupWELLS The new author-of-the-
month Book Discussion Group
will meet from 10:30 to 11:15
a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, at
the Wells Village Library on
the green. Read a new book
