Day 1: Today after a pleasant drive, we arrive in Fredericksburg/Stafford, Virginia. Tonight, relax at your

hotel, the Best Western. (D)

Day 2: This morning we visit Kenmore Plantation and Gardens and learn about its Civil War significance.

Later today arrive at what the Guinness book of Records had deemed the world’s largest pleasure beach –

beautiful Virginia Beach. For the next two evenings enjoy oceanfront balcony rooms at the Oceanfront Inn

or Ramada Virginia Beach Oceanfront, ideally located on the beautiful boardwalk. Here you are free to

Day 3: Following breakfast travel to nearby Norfolk for the International NATO Azalea Festival "Parade of

Nations," featuring Queen Azalea and her Court, International floats, marching bands. Following lunch,

tour the MacArthur Memorial, and discover the life and career of the five-star Army general. Later, enjoy

some free time on Virginia Beach. This evening, we will attend the International Tattoo—the largest

military exhibition in the US. The Tattoo is a mix of music, dance and patriotism celebrating centuries-old

tradition and pageantry. View more than 650 Performers from around the globe during this

Day 4: After breakfast, discover the Norfolk Botanical Garden and view over 50 themed gardens

showcasing a stunning array of vibrant flowers and plants. Next depart for Maryland's popular Eastern

shore area and its famed Assateague Island. We’ll discover this protected wildlife refuge, home to its

famed wild ponies with help of a local guide. This evening, enjoy dinner and resort amenities at the four-

star Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. (B,D)

Day 5: This morning enjoy breakfast before departing for home with fond memories of two of Virginia’s

most celebrated festivals. (B)
