“My experience so far has been very unique. The teaching methodology is very interesting, with good professors and classes.
IIT is one of the university’s in the United States with a high percentage of international students, so I have been able to meet a lot of students from different countries with different cultures. Chicago is a beautiful city with amazing buildings that are extremely modern. Public transportation has been very easy because the university gives us a pass that allows us to ride the train and buses for free. I am very happy with my experience so far, and I am looking forward to what is still going to happen. I hope to improve my English and maybe learn another language. I had really high
expectations about this university has not disappointed me.” -Henrique de Carvalho Mengatto, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Universidade Federal do Rio Grade do Sul, Brazil
“The beginning of the year has been thrilling for me at IIT. Even in the cold Chicago weather, I’ve received the warmest reception
here! The staff has been incredibly helpful, and in just a couple days I was settled and had everything I needed in order to start my classes. The classes, in turn, have been fascinating and the professors are very stimulating; so far I feel like I have already learned a lot. The campus’ facilities are great and, as an architecture student, it is great privilege to
student in a campus and building designed by Mies van der Rohe! Above all, it has been an enriching, fulfilling experience.” -Bernardo Pacheco Louereiro, Architecture, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil
“These first weeks at Illinois Institute of Technology have been unique. At a first glance, IIT looks a great institution. It has a fantastic infrastructure, great professors, lots of extracurricular activities available and really helpful staff. I am confident
that IIT offers everything I need to succeed and achieve my goals. Although I have been quite busy while trying to keep up with the new educational system, my experience so far has been fantastic. I hope to get engaged in more extracurricular
activities and enjoy as much as possible everything IIT and Chicago have to offer.” Raul Bardini Bressan, Biological Sciences, Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil
