Representatives from the West Virginia Division of Highways and Federal Highway Administration will be available between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to answer questions and listen to ideas or concerns about the proposed project. There is no formal presentation planned; however, project maps and other information will be on display for review.
Upon request, WVDOH will provide reasonable accommodations to afford an individual with a disability an equal opportunity to participate. Please contact us at (304) 558-3931, or (800) 982-8722 (voice to TTD), or (800) 982-8771 (TDD to voice).
The Culloden Interchange Project began in the late 1960s with interchange ramp design and right-of-way acquisition but did not proceed. The current focus on the
interchange and associated connector to US 60 resulted from growing concerns regarding increased traffic and congestion on Interstate 64 between Hurricane and Milton, West Virginia. The project represents an additional outlet for round-trip daily traffic moving back and forth from the community of Hurricane to Charleston. In 2015, the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) developed a thorough analysis of construction impacts associated with this interchange, including recommendations for local road improvements and revised traffic patterns that would ease local consequences of interchange construction. WVDOH welcomes your input on potential environmental concerns, including, among others issues, impacts to natural and cultural resources as well as social and economic impacts.
