A General Note before we start- New premises

The new premises.... Most works have now been completed- well done to all for their efforts done. The following is to be done before we can ay we are really ready! a) Electrical door lock installation on new doorb) All Data/Telephone outlets are completed and functional.c) Office DAC and intruder are re commissionedd) Polishing of tiles upstairs and downstairse) Air Conditioning controls with JACEf) Re installation of fire alarm panelg) Re installation of all wall mounted items in tech area

A General Note before we start- Internal Re organisation

The integrated security department will be taken over by Clifton, who will, as of, 10th May 2016 have a new technician ... Stefan Azzopardi .As of 12th may 2016, we will also have a new student part timer- Andrew Scicluna- working half day 0700-1100hrs on Thursdays and a full day 0700-1530 or more on Fridays with the Jace team- in summer he will be switched to full time.Lets all work to get these people integrated into the team.

This is also the first week without Gme ... Anyone doing tasks which GME used to do (timesheets, WIPS et...) – lets do the job well and ensure things do not fall out of control when its too late- stay in control of the whole situation

Projects and deadlines• 15_044_Hilton_Restaurant_Kitchen_AHU and

15_034_Hilton_Calorifier_Monitoring. We have managed to commission basic closed loop controls ... Next would be the full commissioning of the project- My estimate is that this will be completed by end of May 2016- CVA can you confirm that this is achievable

• 15_033_Westin_7-AHU- Most of the T&C should by now be completed. Pending is documentation CCI I would like a target date on the completion here

• 15_008 - Aurobindo PH02 BMS- We have made progress on commissioning here- we are stuck on a lot of issues by the client – We must do all we can to close items which are our control

Projects and deadlines• 13_052 New offices- Now a target is – Complete all

installations and everyone to move back to their places – new target – Mid May 2016... Latest!!

• 14_089_MGA- installation of 2 x readers and 2 x REX – I can only say – Clifton, Dennis, Rullu, Clifford- Prosit

• 12_027- Parliament installation of St James lift intercom and DAC system, this too , is a very urgent project which Clifton and Dennis will be tackling- I would like to have your estimated date of completion here!!

Projects and deadlines• 14_001_Fadalah-There are some snags here which

are to be resolved (by others)• Projects 12_026 SCM Buildings 02, 03, R3 & R4 and

12_027 Security Systems Parliament- are still pending projects and we need to tackle these with our internal re organisation

• 13_070_SCM Lagoona_Pump room- We have pulled most cables .All terminations possible are to be completed ASAP

• 16_011_Intruder_UOM- This project will be started shortly

DesignLast week• Siggiewi - Concluded As Builts with Clifton, sent Drawing

list to MPA• Life Sciences - Implemented Clifton’s site feeback on

Panel Drawings, started printing• AAP – Re-checked work already done on Ltg Points list,

concluded Points list, started & concluded 1st run of Lighting P&IDs – awaiting TBR for conclusion / 2nd run- We need to have a plan as to when we can give CE installations the plan and P&Ids to carry out installations

• OTM – various minor requests from Silvio

DesignNext Week:• Life Sciences - Conclude Panel Drawings

InstallationPast week:– Configured and completed new card readers and

REX’s at MGA – Completed ground floor level at ESI offices– Changed old distribution board with the new one at

ESI– Installed intercom and commissioned Dali at ESI

premises– Move intruder panel (RIO) to new premises– Met with Reuben and James re University intruder– Built 2 small panels for Crint, Supply only

InstallationNext week:– Start works on parliament lift– Meet with DLI and discuss installation of OVT

Penthouse– Change cold room sensors and PD sensor at Hilton– Complete intruder at ESI offices– Start DAC at ESI

Development and Commissioning• We have done large important steps on finishing off the

Parliament we need to get the documentation out of the way too to avoid us going time and time again on site- IT IS NOW A PRORITY AND WE NEED TO GET A COMPLETION- we have an urgent quote to implement on Parliament St James lift (intercom and DAC readers)

• The last issues on the DAC for SCM PH2- IT IS NOW A PRORITY AND WE NEED TO GET COMPLETION CERTIFICATION

• Life Sciences- We have also concluded with Training now... Documentation and some snags are pending

• SCM PH2 needs also some attention on the tagging purchase order for the BMS- CVA is to work on this

• The Bosch HSDK interface is well advanced and we awaiting the client

Development and Commissioning• OTM urgent jobs and snags – P12/ Tank Field 3 and quotinf for

the AS410 change over• Another project that needs attention is CCA Villa ... There are still

some snags to be addressed –intruder alarm integration and intruder snags

• The Siggiewi Primary school project – we need to close off with data collection , snags and documentation here

• Oncology 14_066- We have done most of the work here and are waiting from Panta on this

• Aurobindo we are proceeding with software development and we have done quite some progress – we are also now commissioning this project- we will need to come up with a plan here.

Development and Commissioning• 16_004_Microbiz_PW_Otis_Interface- We are

presently working on a task list and POW as well as setting up the test rigs

• 14_081_Siggiewi School- Lets move on concluding issues related to Data acquisition and analysis.... We need data and good data to prove our systems

Sales and Business Development• We have been working on a quote for Actavis and soon we

will be quoting OTM for the change over of their PLC/Operating system and re writing of their core software.

• We are also working to close off a large project at Meridien and a larger than life home automation system

• Last Thursday ESI attended and participated the COE Intelligent Buildings Conference and even gave a presentation – well done to Tbr and KJa and all the people who work hard to create projects which became showcases. Besides our presentation which dealt with Smart City- other people presented large projects which were done by ESI- Mater Dei BMS (presented by Ing Paul Vassallo) and Siggiewi BMS (by Ing Damien Gatt)

ISO Audit• ESI have been re certified as ISO 9001 and 14001- Well

done to all ... Especially Margaret who worked so hard through the year for this

• In the next weeks I will be giving the new quality task lists and ask you to do your usual efforts to close these

• During the audit we had a scare in that one 0f us had a virus which effected Shireburn... I remind you all:– Do not open suspicious files– Ensure your antivirus is active– DO NOT LEAVE PSTS AND DOCUMENTS BACKED UP ONLY

ON LOCAL HARD DISCS- THEY SHOULD BE ON THE SERVER AND BACKED UP
