All art will be for sale for $2 and the money will go towards buying prizes for the year level winners, as chosen by the Junior School Council. Also take the opportunity to cast the People’s Choice vote in the box provided. Winners will be announced at the following Assembly. The art work can be viewed Monday after school, Tuesday before school and of course at the event. From 4.00pm all instrumental learners will be performing in small ensembles or as solo acts. The afternoon will conclude around 5.00pm. The Southern Peninsula Food For All Inc. is now in its 26 th year of operation. They are currently packing and distributing in excess of 70 parcels each week to families in need as well as over 522 Christmas hampers in December. To help support the program we will be holding a ‘Kick in a can’ day on Thursday 14 th of September. Students are invited to wear free dress and bring in a can of food to donate. Suggested items include: Long life milk, Canned Soup, Baked Beans, Spaghetti, Vegemite, Pasta Sauce, Canned Fruit, Tinned Vegetables, Beef and Vegetables, Tinned Creamed Rice, Pasta.

Student of the Week Students will be presented with certificates at next Thursday afternoon’s assembly.

Prep P – Mrs Perkin – Oscar Connelly – for communicating with clarity and precision. Oscar you are working hard to present your news to the class in a loud, clear voice. Keep up the great work.

Prep S – Mrs Read – Willow Steadman – for listening with understanding and interest and always being aware of the needs of others. You are a kind and caring friend.

1A – Miss Arnold – Jay Skehan Dowde - For questioning and posing problems during reading groups this week. Jay asked about the word ‘knight’ when whole group reading which allowed word work using the THRASS chart. Great Job!

1P – Miss Perkins – Daniel Arnold - For striving for accuracy in his writing. Daniel is writing independently and uses words he knows well. He is also extending his learning at home completing extra homework based on his LLI books. Well Done!

2MB– Miss Boyd – Noah Giarrusso- Well done Noah, you have grown so much this term. You are managing your impulsivity and taking your time in class. Keep up the great work Noah.

3H – Mrs Houston – Poppy Dunnion- for her persistence in everything she does! Poppy brings happiness to everyone in the classroom.

3WB – Ms Walton & Mrs Bos – Lily Gaul – for consistently producing work to a high standard and for always being a positive member of the class. You are an asset to 3WB.

4H - Ms Hone – Alex De Frenza- Thinking about thinking and striving for accuracy. You put in such a fantastic effort yesterday at our soccer clinic and drew an amazing character in a wheelchair for your narrative.

4P – Miss Pittard – Tye Seath- For persisting with your Times Tables challenge this week! It is inspiring to see you setting goals for yourself and using your free time to practise your skills. If you remain focused I know you can reach 1000! Keep loving Maths Tye! 5/6H – Miss Munn–

5/6 K – Ms Gibson / Mr Kitchin - Jenny Dingwall – for listening with understanding and empathy. Congratulations Jenny on always demonstrating our R.I.C.H. School Values and being such a great listener. You are a very positive, understanding and hard working member of 5/6K. Well Done Jenny!
