How do we know that KidsMatter at Tootgarook Primary School? This week the Junior School Council met to talk about how we know KidsMatter at our school. We came up with a very long list! RICH school values! The teachers are always here to help you.

We are very lucky to have such a great art, music and PE program. Lunch for everyone Reader parents

Prep P – Mrs Perkin – Ollie Hamilton – for always demonstrating the RICH School Values. Ollie you make sure that you do the 6L’s, raise your hand, work independently, try your best and you sre a kind friend Keep up the terrific work.

Prep R - Mrs Read – Lily Carroll – for outstanding progress you have made this semester. Lily you work independently and with enthusiasm. You brighten up our class with your positive attitude and friendly nature.

1A– Miss Arnold – Tyler Coburn - As voted by his peers for demonstrating the 6L’s during class discussions and being organised with his take home reader and LLI folder each morning. Tyler is showing more confidence during learning time and is beginning to ask for help when required. Well Done Tyler!

1P – Miss Perkins – Evie White - What a wonderful Term you have had Evie. You always listen intently to your teachers and your peers and follow the RICH school values well. You always work to a high standard and do your best in everything you do. Congratulations Evie!

2B – Miss Boyd – Mason Hocking-Duke - You have grown so much this term Mason, you are always happy and are such a positive member of 2BG. Your dedication to your reader has been highlighted throughout this term, with you receiving your 50 nights reading award. Within writing you have continually challenged yourself, and have created many fantastic pieces of writing which has allowed you to meet your own personal writing goals. We are all so proud of you, keep up the good work in Semester 2.

2L – Ms Gibson– Rafe Steadman - Rafe is a happy and positive member of class who has an exemplary work ethic. He's had a fantastic term and achieved excellent results in his learning across the curriculum. Rafe did an outstanding job when presenting his mini garden project to everyone. He really enjoys reading and continues to challenge himself though it, and this semester Rafe received his 125 nights reading award. Congratulations Rafe and all the very best for semester 2. 3H – Mrs Houston – Kaiden Woulfe - As voted by his peers for always being so responsible and being a great person! Well done Kaiden. 3WB – Ms Walton + Mrs Bos – Aidan Gathercole as voted by his peers, for being a great teammate. He is a responsible Junior School Council representative, as he always remembers to check nude food every day. Aidan is a kind and caring friend and makes games fun. He tries his hardest at all times.

4H - Ms Hone – Charli Vis - As voted by her peers. "She's helpful, caring, kind, sweet, sticks up for her friends and has a positive attitude!"

4P – Miss Pittard – Luca White - Congratulations Luca on your enthusiasm and dedication to your learning this term. You represent our class with confidence and show genuine care and support for your peers. It is wonderful to see you enjoy learning and take on new challenges in science. You try your best in all activities and maintain a high standard of work as shown in your Endangered Animal project on Mandrills. Congratulations Luca on an excellent term! 5/6H – Miss Munn – Ella Giarrusso – Ella is a kind hearted member of 5/6H She constantly demonstrates the RICH School Values and tries her very best at everything she does. She is an excellent role model to those around her and celebrates all classmates achievements. Well Done, Ella on a fantastic term! 5/6K- Mr Kitchin – Mia Goldberg was voted by her peers as our student of the term. Mia’s classmates described her as being a strong leader who is a role model to others and consistently displays the RICH school Values. Well done on a fantastic term Mia, we are very proud to call you our school captain.

5/6M - Miss McGhee - Chloe Underwood - as voted by her peers because she respects others, is exclusive in the playground and allows anyone to be apart of her learning groups. Chloe also puts her best effort into every activity and completes her homework weekly. Well done Chloe, you’ve had a fantastic term!

WANTED for RACV Challenge

Grade 4 students - First Holy Communion 2017 Preparation Classes commence at the on Tuesday 18th July at 4pm in St Joseph’s school for all Grade 4 Government school children who are baptized Catholic. Enrolments for children can be made by ringing the Parish Office (9am- 4pm Tues – Fri) – 59844374, as soon as possible. First communion will be celebrated on Saturday 19th August and Sunday 20th August – parents will choose a date.
