ANALYZE LEARNERSMy students are beginning to get restless towards the end of the week. The football team is in the state championship this year, and the big game is this weekend. Needless to say, students’ minds are elsewhere.

SELECT METHODS, MEDIA, & MATERIAL

My method for this day includes group collaboration and computer work. This will attract the hands-on and social learners. This will also give students a chance to be competitive in a fun way.

UTILIZE MEDIA & MATERIALSMy students will have the chance to ask any questions they may have about anything we covered in previous days. After we address those issues, we will once again head to the computer lab. Students will sit with their teammates. They will each be doing a WebQuest on Fantasy Football. Some steps in the WebQuest have been covered in previous days to save time (creating teams and getting players). The students will work on WebQuests individually, but they will be able to collaborate with their teammates to test their answers.

REQUIRE LEARNER PARTICIPATIONStudents will be required to do their own WebQuest or they will not receive a grade for the day. This assignment must be completed by the beginning of class on Friday, but students can access it from home as well.

EVALUATE AND REVISE I will observe as the students do their WebQuests to see how well they understand it, and whether or not I believe it is effective. These results will determine whether or not I use this WebQuest again.
