….there was as an auditor

who was doing an audit for his Company.


One day he was passing through

the warehouse….

..when he thought he saw something.The Risk

The next dayhe thought he saw it again……………...

then it just disappeared……...The Risk


The next day he waited and looked more carefully….

It was a risk!!!


The auditor was pleased.

He was doing his job. He was helping his

That night he could not

decide what kind of risk it

was. risk

There are environmental risks and…communication risks


hurricane disaster risks…


There are productivity risks….

There are even risks for when you don’t know what the risk is.


He decided to call it……

Little RiskyThe Risk


It did not seem like a big risk buthe knew that sometimes little risks can become big ones...


He knew that risks can quickly get out of hand if they are not taken care of.


Sometimes risks can be quite

goofy


He knew he could not take care of it because auditors can’t own risks

Only a manager can own a risk


The RiskStops…? ……………

A manager knows that if you catch a

risk early

Risks can be trained


The Risk


So they set out on a journey to find a home for Little Risky.

Little Risky

So the auditor and Little Risky went looking for a manager.....

The first manager was very very busy.


Little Risky

He could not even see Little Risky


The auditor was confused. Maybe there was no risk.

The second manager was charming and sincere.

He listened carefully.. and saw it.


He even complimented the auditor for finding

Little Risky.


He even complimented the auditor for finding

Little Risky.

But…… Little Risky was not his kind of risk


So they moved on…


They could tell right away that the next

manager was different.


This manager was an expert!


He understood it…

He could make it laugh


In fact, the manager said he would be very happy to take care of Little Risky…..But..


But, he already had his full share of risks…..

There was no room for Little Risky ….in the manager’s priorities


Maybe Little Risky was a

“Risk Orphan”


So they moved on…


The next manager’s office was filled with diplomas and certificates

of accomplishments.

He was a very learned manager.

The soft spoken and articulate manager wanted to talk to the

auditor in private.







He already knew about Little Risky …….but was afraid of it.







He thought it would be best to deny that Little Risky ever existed.

The auditor exited, moaned

and rolled his eyes…

?


Lawyers !!!

Things were not looking good..


The auditor reflected on their search for a home for Little Risky.


As they started to leave,Little Risky abruptly stopped at a door.


The auditor frowned at Little Risky. what makes you think this manager will be any different?”


Little Risky just stood there. He was not moving.


As they entered the office, they noticed a few things…..

Suddenly all the managers appeared !

Little Risky was now the center of attention and the first enterprise-wide risk meeting occurred shortly Thereafter..

The auditor was happy

The auditor asked. “Why did the Risk Stop

Here ? ”.

The CEO explained….

Business and Life are all about learning about risk.

Leaders must have vision.
