This prompted the youth to begin the "Be the Change" challenge. Through that challenge, they raised $12,300! After prayer and conversations, they decided that Ono UMC would benefit through the purchase of a mini-bus. The OWLS group, Trustees and Council were all in agreement with our youth. The bus will be purchased using the "Be the Change" monies, $6000 from the property rental account and from the Building Fund. If you would like to make an additional offering, please mark it for the bus fund! Thank you all for your generosity!
"Walking/Talking/Shoveling thru Ono" On Monday, Jan 15th, 2018 you are invited to participate in our Martin Luther King Day Service Event. We will gather at ONO UMC at 9:00 a.m. with our rakes (or our shovels if it snowed!) and walk our way thru Ono! Cleaning the sidewalks/ shoveling the snow, talking to our neighbors, inviting them to join us at 12:00 noon back at the church for Hot Cocoa, cookies and pizza! Won't you join us?! Make it a family event!! Please see Dee with any questions! ALTAR FLOWERS – a reminder to return the glass vases from the altar flower arrangements. For your convenience, there are large cups to transport the flowers home in the small room by the organ. Thanks so much!
Art Ministry 2018 News! Ono’s 2017 Art Classes proved to be a wonderful success with
over 100 students gathering during Lent, connecting different
media to the lessons of Jesus’ life.
Students – contact Leah Staley – Space is limited! Would you consider joining us as a class aide in Lent/2018?
Our teachers are busy developing fun
and colorful lessons and would greatly appreciate your helping
hands with the kids.
Questions? Please give Dee a call and she’ll be happy to share
the vision and help you plug in. 484.620.6726
