• A teaser trailer is roughly 30 - 60 seconds and contains many camera shots to entice the audience but not give too much of the film away. In this time it shows you the basic outline of what this new film is about.

• A teaser trailer's main purpose is to make the public aware of a new film being released and to entice its target audience into wanting to see the film. It also shows the first ideas of the film and some of the ideas and shots that are used may necessarily not be used in the actual film. For example 'Train Spotting' in 1996.

• A teaser trailer should also contain the names of the actors, directors and the other main people associated with making the movie. It therefore contains a lot of titles and shots to go with these titles. The average teaser trailer contains around 30 – 60 titles depending on what kind of movie is being advertised and how the company wants their movie to be conveyed.
