Construction: Teaser trailer

After filming I had to import the video clips into final cut pro. I then reviewed every clip to see what clips would be best for my teaser trailer. After looking at every clip I completed a edit decision list that I followed for my editing progress.

I decided to add an effect called “cast” which made my clips have a blue effect. I done this because it would make my teaser trailer look like it was a recording during the night (the intention I want to give the audience).

Here I used an effect called “Bad TV” for a static effect that the ‘recording’ (teaser trailer) is losing it’s signal from the possessed girl.

The audio was taken from www.soundbible.com (free sounds) and I used it in my first scene. I decided to use a heartbeat as to portray the levels of darkness of the actress. For example, the heartbeat starts off low and rises louder and louder. I done this by using the exact same sound but changing the db level on the audio meter to start off low and eventually get louder. This portrays the darkness as the heartbeat is still low when she is on the bed, then gets louder when she gets closer and stands up.
