We have formed a new fundraising commiƩee to develop ideas to raise money in the future. I would like to make an appeal to all members and businesses that any and all donaƟons to help ll this year’s gap will be appreciated. We recently provided food services for the Arrowhead Groomer Show and I want to thank the Walkers and all the volunteers who made this a successful and fun fundraiser for us. Looking ahead we have several events coming up: Snowmobile Roundup on Memorial Day weekend, Drive with the Groomer Drivers Golf Scramble on August 30th and 3 Sundays in the summer for Sunday Funday. Join us for these funcƟons or beƩer yet volunteer to help out. Our March 10th annual meeƟng will feature the elecƟon of Ocers and Directors. Come and vote and let your voice be heard. • Candidate Statements President—Steve Soltwedel I am honored to have served as your President this past year. With the help of a good Board of Directors and Officers we ac‐complished quite a bit. I have accepted the nomina on to run for a second one‐year term as President and am reques ng your vote. We con nue as the largest snowmobile club in the State of Wisconsin and from the feedback we get, our trails are the best! The support from club members this past year has been heart‐warming. If you haven't go en involved, do it this year. It’s the best way to meet people in our community. I look forward to your support and vote. President—Elect—Bob “Ozzy” Ausloos I have been asked by the nomina ng commi ee to run for the posi on of president—elect. This will be the second me around in these posi ons if the progression goes as it normally does. Why did I accept this nomina on? Well I feel in order to get as much as you can out of an organiza on you need to give to the organiza on in order to get something out of it. Over the years I have been elected to various posi ons in the clubs that I have belonged to. Trust me, I have always go en more personal growth and sa sfac on out of the experience than the effort put in. My goal with being ac ve with the Bo‐Boen Snowmobile Club is to con nue the excellent tradi on of our organiza on. Kindly vote for me and please consider ge ng ac ve so you too can enhance your snowmobiling experience. Treasurer—Ed Siergiej I have accepted the nomina on of the elec on commi ee to run for another year as your treasurer. I am looking forward in work‐ing with the other elected officers and directors as our club re‐mains the largest in the State of Wisconsin. Snowmobiling is an important part of the success of our community. Once again I ask for your support Secretary—Kay Schultz I can’t believe I am finishing my 7th year as secretary. While I s ll don’t snowmobile, I s ll try to do my best to keep the Bo‐Boen’s the biggest and best club in the state. Selling raffle ckets, plan‐ning 7 membership dinners for the past 9 years, a ending most of our fundraisers and baking for various club events are just some of the things that keep me busy. Thank you for your sup‐port in the past and your vote this year.

The Boo‐BBB’s on their recent overnight ride include: Sharon WeMe , Carole Hall, Cheryl Kelsey, Pam Green, Penny McCormick, Georgia Henrichs, Carla Klein, Judy Pacanowski, Sue Dubore, Peggy Ausloos, Dianne Dieter, Janelle Ewen and tagging along by car were Judy Schell, Geri Shambo and Cheryl Domenico.

Director—Greg Platz My love of snowmobiling began in 1972 when I bought my first snow‐mobile, which I s ll proudly own. My passion for snowmobiling and the Northwoods grew when I visited my uncle (Cli on Drews, a char‐ter member of the Bo‐Boen Club and the Apple Dumpling Gang) for the first me here in St. Germain the following year. I con nued to ride and visit the area, and in 2000, my wife Roxanne and I bought a home in St. Germain with the goal of one day moving here perma‐nently. We’ve been long distance members of the Bo‐Boen Club since then. In 2019, I re red from Briggs & Stra on Engineering (acous cs), and our dream became a reality when we sold our home in Oconomowoc without looking back. Some of my interests in re re‐ment include restoring my three vintage sleds, the Wednesday rides with the Dumplings and nkering in my workshop. Now that we are full‐ me residents, we are both enjoying being able to a end the club mee ngs & events where we have met so many friendly club and community members. We have an outstanding group of volunteers and, if elected, I look forward to being part of maintaining the stellar reputa on that our club enjoys. Director—Jeff Horvath Director—Jeff Sauer

    Boo‐BBB’s Ride Again!

  • Trail Boss—Jim Wendt What a roller coaster ride we are having.....near record January snowfall and now 4” for February so far. Our trail system has held up just great but we could use some nice wet snowfalls as we look the month of March in the face. We will run as long as we can and hope everyone can squeeze some late season riding into your schedules. We have had some member groomer ride‐alongs this season and enjoyed showing off our machines and the methods we use to deliver world class trails. As we begin thinking about the end of our winter season, plan‐ning is already underway for this summer’s Drive with the Groomer Driver’s Golf Scramble. This will be the 5th annual scramble. Up to now the ou ng has generated over $40,000 for the club! We want to increase club par cipa on in the event this year, in par cular, because of the loss of nearly $10,000 due to Hiller’s Radar Run cancella on. We need the club to make this ou ng a priority to help con nue our equipment replacement program. More informa on on the event can be found in the newsle er. In advance, I sincerely want to thank you for your support! March can provide some of the most wonderful late season rid‐ing....I hope Mother Nature will co‐operate and allow us to end this year in great fashion. HAPPY TRAILS, Jim Secretary’s Report—Kay Schultz Calling all waitresses! I would like to place an order for an extra large helping of snow! There is a lot of snow on the ground but the trails could use a new ‘winter coat’. Despite the fact that there is a lack of new snow, there are a lot of snowmobilers in the Northwoods. I hope that many of you are s ll planning on coming to enjoy the Northwoods trails. Please be extra careful—without snow on the trails, they tend to be icy. Anyone wishing to vote by absentee ballot must request a ballot from the secretary in wri ng (e‐mail will do), up to 7 days prior to the elec on (March 3rd). Absentee ballots must be returned in the envelope provided, sealed and mailed. No requests for ab‐sentee ballots will be accepted a er that me. I can be reached at [email protected]. On Tuesday, February 11th we had our membership mee ng at Clearview. As always, the dinners were outstanding. Kris, Connie and Chef Shawn out did themselves in keeping the 75 a endees well ‘watered’ and well fed. Thank you to them and the Clearview Crew for a great evening! (P.S. Get well soon Jeannie!) Kay
