Going to for intentionWe use “going to” when we have the intention to do

something before we speak. We have already made a decision before speaking. Examples:Jack is going to draw the dinosaur.Ben and Lisa are going to look at the fossils.We are going to see the blue whale in Gallery23.

Going to for predictionWe often use “going to” to make a prediction about the future. Our prediction is based on present evidence. We are saying what we think will happen.

Examples: There is going to be a terrible accident! He is going to be a brilliant politician. I am going to have terrible indigestion.

Direction: Make a group of three people. Choose your favorite gallery by using the conversation as a guideline on the board. Then come to do role play in front of class.

Situation: You and your friends are supposed to be a group of traveller at the museum. It is very big and there’re many galleries in the museum. You and your friends are standing at the entrance of the museum, and sharing which part you are going to.
