Social Media Safety

There have been some concerns raised in regards to the safety of social media platforms. There are a number of students who have indicated they use various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. The age requirements for these sites are 13 years of age. It is certainly at the parent’s discretion if their child is per-mitted to access these sites and create accounts.

As a school we aim to work in partnership with parents to educate students on the safe use of apps and the internet. To keep your child safe, please discuss the need/use of location settings and be mindful of who your child befriends or interacts with. Become familiar with what your child is doing on their devices. I wish to reiterate that there has been no behaviour of concern from any child at SWPS. The intention of this information is purely to raise awareness and increase safety for our students.

CANTEEN TEMPORARY CLOSURE

Clothing Pool

A notice from the Clothing Pool.

This is my last year with the clothing pool. I am looking for a

person or persons to take it over. It includes the sorting, washing,

ironing and hanging in the designated positions. Leanne does all

repairs.

I open the clothing pool at the moment on a Wednesday morning

between 8.30am and 9.30am. It is also open for sales at the Fete.

The clothing pool is a very important part of the school and your

interest in this position is paramount.

Please phone Jenny McNamara 0417736514.
