(including the documentation by using the integrated transfer to MS Word) - and also more interesting.

This example nicely shows the merit it can have to relate two dates to each other.

Sure enough this also holds for birth data of partners, be it for relationship or business. This is even more extensively

supported by other sheets of the software (see structure below).

Let us come to an example from Feng Shui:

At the next page you see how a floor plan was imported to the software and superposed with some basic graphics

(9-grid and compass-rosette). You also have available for example Heavenly Stars, Sam Hap – Rosette, and especially

a „Pointer“, to grasp directions graphically and have them displayed numerically, and also set the direction of North

graphically by superimposing the pointer with the North arrow at the plan – all without any calculation necessary.

Please note that the floor plan (of an office space) was aligned in a way most suitable for further work, e.g. with

Northeast at the top and Southwest at the bottom.

According to this now the Flying Stars are displayed appropriately, suited to the alignment.

Here you see the stars in the Imperial version according to Chan Kun Wah, for period 9 und the year 2018 (other

versions to display the stars can be chosen alternatively). The colours correspond to the elements, with „Purple

White Stars 1-6-8“ and „unpleasant 5“ specially highlighted. You have full freedom however to choose other colours

if you´re interested in other topics for the situation at hand (or to exclude the stars for the year).

Coloured pink you can see the ruler, which you can adjust to a predefined length at the plan. Thereafter all objects

(like desks or beds) defined by your own can be displayed to scale, as you can see further down.

Then you place the objects within the space and have displayed what their direction means for the client.

So with one glance you can see according to which system the direction is very favourable (here Stars „adding to 10“,

double „Money“) or neutral or delicate. By the way, the brown colour for the Missing Numbers signals, that the

person (Gua 9) is missing here – just a small example how well thought of the software is up to every tiny detail.

And now you move or turn the furniture around within the space (using the mouse, or finger at a touchscreen), have

a look at the data displayed, till you and the client are happy with the solution (it´s fun to do it together).

The other way round there´s lots of ways to decide up front which direction might be appropriate for the client

(single or as a couple) – align the furniture according to your choice – and then move it around to check whether it

also fits the harmony of the space.

This is just one example why the software gives you more than just some data, that it offers you the means to work

interactively – and sure enough this holds also working together with your client (via tablet or Skype).

And those of you gifted with a sense of beauty may place a graphical representation or even a picture of some

furniture within the floor plan instead of using a plain rectangle.

Admitted: The software offers so many options that it takes a while to master them all. But you may start with

simple things and then advance to the more complicated ones. To get started there´s integrated instructions „First

Steps“ available, which guide you step by step to the main facilities of Horoscope / Date Selection / Feng Shui.

By the way: No matter which school may be your background, be it Chan Kun Wah (chosen for display here), Yap

Cheng Hai, Joey Yap, Jes Lim, Raymond Lo, or others: You may set the options and define the denominations in such

a way that the software follows your own preferences and you can work in an environment of methods and

terminology suited to your liking.

To show you a little bit more about this, have a look at another example:

Here a sofa is superimposed with some graphical indicators about the

direction. You have the rosette of all 8 and 24 mountains indicating in

green and brown whether the direction is favourable for a person of

East- or West-group according to the birth star. The blue arrow

points to North. The sector with three signs in light brown states that

the direction is the third fraction of Southwest. The sector with two

signs displays the Kua containing the direction, so you see the

boundaries as well as the Star and Fate numbers: “big green” means

high number for wood in Early Heaven, e.g. “8” for the Star, “little

grey” means small number for metal, e.g. “4” for the Fate. And you

also have the Flying Stars for Southwest in this example (Period 8,

facing South, flying forward; Star for 2018 in the middle on top –

version for those who do not follow the Imperial School). As you can

see, the software also allows you to take the result for the Stars apart

and locate the portion for each direction separately – so for example

you can put it to the room where it is really meaningful.

All in all you have all the means to apply whichever method you are familiar with, or the one which gives the best

solution for the situation at hand.

Structure of the software and system requirements:

My_own is based on Microsoft Excel and functions similarly. Starting from the main program you can save and recall

single projects. These are stored in 18 independent files, which are maintained by the main program and opened or

closed successively (so you don´t have to bother about that yourself). Each file represents a specific aspect of the

program, like Calendar / Date Selection / BaZi_1 / BaZi_2 / BaZi_3 / Feng Shui / Various Basic Information / Database

/ Options / Help / First Steps etc.

By the way: It might be useful to have some knowledge about Excel (for example to create objects of your own), but

it is not required. All the functionality you need to work with My_own is provided through the integrated buttons

and menus.

The advantage for you:

The screens of each file (with several single sheets) can be displayed or hidden independently of the others – and

also moved around and enlarged or reduced. This way you only see what you´re interested in at the moment – but

this may well be to look at important but divers information side by side, for example the two full horoscopes for a

couple and the floor plan of their home. Also in many instances you may call up a window for context-sensitive help.

Prerequisite:

Microsoft Office from Version 2010 onward, under MS Windows (Version does not matter).

There are some specialties for the various versions of Excel – please ask.

(Excel directly for the Mac is not compatible – usage is possible only through tools like Parallels)

This is the main menu of the software, which shows the various subject areas which can be worked at. Navigation is

primarily done via click at the corresponding button – which is especially nice on a touchscreen.

Three different horoscopes can be calculated in parallel („Horoscope“ just shows different aspects from „BaZi_1“),

and two of those can also be related to each other in various ways (for example to check compatibility of partners,

private or business, or to check for auspicious dates as alternative to using Date Selection following

Kuas/hexagrams). The third one primarily is used to determine all the many additional information when no date of

birth is known but the Four Pillars only, for example from a book – or when the month has to be exchanged for a

place of birth in the Southern Hemisphere, as sometimes recommended.

„Database“ leads to an integrated Excel database, where you can store the birth data for all your clients and recall

those later in various situations. Using some integrated functionality you may also sort this database with respect to

up to three nested criteria. So you may never forget the birthday of a client, or you may do research whether you can

find out certain patterns of personality for persons born in the same year or having the same day stem.

From „Basic Information“ you can recall various details concerning the 24 mountains and the 64 Kuas (hexagrams).

From here you can also find out about auspicious dates and auspicious directions for the client and transfer those to

other areas of the program.

It is a big advantage of the software that many things are tightly woven together, no matter whether BaZi, Date

Selection or Feng Shui. Each part may be used individually, but it gets even better in those parts playing together –

and it offers options for analysis and information in detail, which nobody would go for by hand.

day is located within the month (so you can check for the strength of the hidden stem):

handling and/or methodology behind this part of the program.
