Thai Students’ Association in Japan under the Royal Patronage has a long history of 76 years holding about 1,000 Thai students all over Japan. A graduate student of Mie University, was taking a role of representative for the 72nd to the 74th as the Mie Prefecture’s head. Currently, another Mie University’s student is taking over the role for the 75th head. There are several events all through the year. In April: Awarding Ceremony for the appointment of heads; in May: Thai Festival in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya; in November: Thai-Japan Conference. They actively enhance our friendship Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium This Seminar & Symposium is an academic meeting hosted by Mie University (Japan), Chiang Mai University (Thailand), Jiangsu University (China), and Bogor Agricultural University (Indonesia) in turn. In 2014, the 21 st Seminar & Symposium was held from November 2 to 6, at Chiang Mai University. From Mie University, ten faculty and 14 students participated and made their oral presentations. Specially in this year, as the post program of the Seminar & Symposium, Field Study Program in Bangkok was held. The delegation with the 15 students and two faculty visited Thammasat University. They visited agricultural sites and farm as well as the FAO, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and attended the lecture. They completed their mission during their stay in Bangkok from November 7 to 10, 2015. Khon Kaen University Delegation visited Mie University On April 17, 2015, Assoc. Prof. Witoon Praserchroensuk and his delegates from Khon Kaen University visited Mie University. Mie Univ. and Khon Kaen Univ. concluded Agreement on Academic Cooperation and Exchange, and also Agreement for Student Exchange on August 25, 1994 between Graduate School of Medicine and upgraded on July 17, 2000 between Universities. Since then, we have close relationship between each other having various activities. At the meeting, we exchanged further activities between two universities. Our Philosophy The Center for International Education and Research between Thai and Japan through cultural events and being a bridge for our strong bond. In addition, Old Japan Students’ Association, Kingdom of Thailand was established in January, 1966, supporting alumni networks and students who wish to study in Japan.
