INFORMATION SESSION CHC30113 certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with Thelmara Jermyn.

This qualification is for potential or existing staff who are required to use individual children’s profiles to plan activities and provide care to children. Facilitate their learning, leisure and play to support them to achieve their developmental outcomes. The course will be held at the college on a Monday and Tuesday between 9.00am and 3.00pm starting the 19th October. You have up to a year to complete this course. This includes 30 weeks of class attendance and 120hrs of work experience. May be fully or partly subsidised for eligible students.

The fee for this course will be calculated upon enquiry. If no subsidy is available the full fee will be $2750.

This course will introduce you to the basic features of spreadsheets, including entering and editing data, formatting, formulas, page setup, and printing spreadsheets. 7. BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management with Jim Nicholls.

This qualification supports the development of skills in building leadership, management and supervisory capabilities across a wide range of workplaces. As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team. They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems and analyse and evaluate

information from a variety of sources.

Learn to hand stitch using yarns, embroidery floss/thread, fabrics, textiles, paper and other mediums and materials in traditional and contemporary ways. Enjoy making creative works. 18. Textile / Fibre Art with Bonita Shore.

With a basic knowledge of stitch (hand and machine), create small and larger contemporary art works using new and upcycled textiles, paper, plastic bags, embroidery floss/thread, yarns and other mediums. 19. Open Weave Baskets with Zimmi Forest.

Twining is a technique used throughout the world because it is strong, adaptive and creates beautiful forms quickly. In this class we will transform foraged fibres into the elegant open weave basket, allowing students to fully absorb the flow of this simple technique. Students will complete a gorgeous basket. 20. Random Weaving with Zimmi Forest.

Learn the simple techniques to transform natural fibres into utlaitarian baskets or sculptural objects. Random weave is a really satisfying technique that can be used to give amazing results. 21. Learn To Play The Ukulele with Dave Ash.

No musical knowledge is necessary. Come in, have some fun and learn this inexpensive musical instrument. Learn how to strum in time with others, form chords, pick out a tune and some basic music. Learn basic Auslan. Become familiar with finger spelling, skills for conversation and a cultural understanding of the deaf community. Auslan is a fascinating language to study and an excellent way to communicate, not only with the deaf/hearing impaired but also for people who are non-verbal or with a disability in our community.
