International Chef
Always innovative, Sabor Latino is taking Ec-
uadorian cuisine to the next level by inviting
international Chef Carlos Gallardo de La Puente to
join Sabor Latino as a corporate part ner.
In his career, Carlos Gallardo has been a teacher,
author and an award winning Chef . Born and
raised in Quito, Ecuador, Gallardo graduated fromFHST in Switzerland. His academic career includes
IAG- Argentina (Regional Cuisine), UDECA- Ar-
gentina (Argentinian Cuisine), LE CASTEL-LAS
COLLIAS- France (French Cuisine). Chef Gallardo
has published six books as a result of his long pas-
sionate research of the diverse gastronomy of his
beloved Ecuador. He has also been the recipient of
a Five Diamond Award for his culinary excellence.
Gallardo is also a director of the culinary school at
the University of the Americas and Kendall College
in Chicago. Gallardo has spent three years of his
career devoted to the traditional dishes of his nativeEcuador. He has been the Executive Chef of sev-
eral highly acclaimed international restaurants and
has been the President of the Chef’s Association of
Ecuador since 2008.
Chef Gallardo is known for his passionate use of
exotic fruits and plants and products from the four
natural regions of Ecuador, one of the most biologi-
cally diverse countries in the world.

F ounded over 15 years ago by siblings Juan,
Jesus and Rose Inga, Sabor Latino established
itself in the very heart of the Latino community in
Queens, NY.
Coming to NY from their native
land of Ecuador, the Inga siblings
came with the vision of creating and
establishing their own business.
Inspired by family traditions and
the multi-cultural structure of
their native country that was so
