Well, more or less Im

taking you on a tour of

a marbles life.

First of all, being a piece of marble is very

difficult. Mitt and I live in the AndesMountains, at the very bottom by a

waterfall. All of our relatives live in either

the United States, Australia, or Ireland. But

recently, some strange men in yellow hard

hats have been invading our home. Some of

our friends have disappeared and we dontknow why. One day though, one of the

strange men was explaining to someone

saying that some of the marble had been

quarried and would be used for pillars. I

thought, oh no! This was terrible! Some of

my friends were being made into pillars?!

What some of my friends were

made into!

How my friends were mined away!

Here is your first sneak peek, or inside

look at where May and I live. As you can

see, its at the valley between 3

mountains and there is a waterfall.Behind the waterfall is a cave, and that

cave is where all the Marbles take cover

when storms or strange unwanted

people come up. Unfortunately some of

our friends didnt make it to safety in

time.

A few weeks later, Mitt and I had some new

friends. Thats because Limestone, Calcite, and

Dolomite are the council and they decided to

create brand new Marbles. This happens every

day, so Mitt and I eventually forget the lost ones.

But a month later, more of the strange men took

all of our friends this time. And I overheard this

time that they had changed all the marble into

statues, counters, floors, clocks, and pens!!! I was

horrified!!!!!!

Well, thanks for stopping by to

learn about a Marbles life! It might

be a said day in Marble world,

especially because Mitt and I are

the only ones left. But well pullthrough because the council

decided to make more marble

friends. Theres not much more to

Hey, its me May Marble again!!! Sorry

Cassidy Conglomerate couldnt show up

today! She caught the flu and couldnt

make it to the live broadcast! So, Ill just

fill you in on all of the information you

need to know. She wanted you to see a

picture of what Conglomerate looks like.

She didnt have time to send in a picture

of her though. Well, lets begin!

First of all, Cassidy and her

friends live by Key West, a

beautiful beach in Florida. Shelives among the rocks and

everyday the tide washes up

and she gets the feel of a cool

wave.

But one day, strange men showed up at her place with giant contraptions with razor

sharp claws and began to dig. When the next wave rolled onto shore, thankfullyCassidy and her friends were pushed underground. She and her family and friends

worked their way farther down underground, hearing the last painful cries of some of

her friends that were being taken away by surface mining. But no later than 2 minutes

had the claws reached her and the rest of her friends. Sharp cries and screams filled the

air, for the men had no other choice but to underground mine the conglomerates out.

The Conglomerate Council that made all of the

Conglomerates found that they could do

nothing to help except start a new community.

And after much deliberation they decided to

go their own ways and break the Council apart.

After much mining and screams and cries, a

month later Cassidy Conglomerate found

herself at the very tippy top of a strange

church. She looked all around and realized that

this was a far away place. And that she was

gone from her home. Forever.

Then she realized that she would never see her home again.

appears that Gabby

Granite (your favoriteigneous rock) caught the

flu as well. So I guess

that Ill have to give you

the tour. So lets begin,

To begin, Gabby and her community live in Hawaii

except that they dont really know that because they

live deep within the ground. She never sees the light.

All of her relatives are scattered around the world.

You can travel anywhere and you will find one of herrelatives. They live in Colorado, Russia, China,

Australia, anywhere!!! Gabbys Councils members

names are, Mr. Plagioclase, Mr. Alkali, Mr. Pyroxene,

Mr. Amphibole, Mr. Sphene, and Mr. Beryl. There are

many more council members, but these are the head

ones.

So one day, when Gabby was finishing a delicious lunch of a melted magma sandwich and

crunchy magma chips, she heard a rattling sound. Then the table started to shake, and her

chips scattered everywhere. Her mother was just taking a magma pie out of the oven when

she started to shake as well and dropped the pie. Gabby Granite held on for dear life,

because it appeared that there was an earthquake somewhere that had reached her home.

The magma TV hadnt forecasted an earthquake, but maybe it had been wrong. Another 5

minutes later Gabby was still hanging on. This time some strange tornado wind had started

blowing and she was holding onto the table with only one hand. Suddenly she was blown up

into the air along with her family. She saw the light for the first time, and it was so bright

that it almost blinded her. When she saw what the outer world looked like, she was

astonished. But as soon as those amazing sites started to become vague, she remembered

she was up in the air. It was like flying! Except it was a lot scarier!!!! Soon she found herself

up in some strange contraption that took her far away.

Granite is mined by quarrying.Kind-of like my friends were!Evil contraption!!!!!

About 2 weeks later, Gabby had just woken up from a long, long nap when she got

startled. A strange workman in some kind of yellow hat looking thing had a giant

pounding thing that the man called a hammer. Then he took this paste stuff he

called shining gel. He rubbed it over her a couple of times with a rag. She thought it

tasted like some kind of mint, but then he took the hammer and banged on her so

that the gel would stay on. It was very painful, and after a while the pain settled

and she calmed down. The next day, the man came back, this time with something

that looked like a grinder. But nope, all it did was shine her even more until she

sparkled like crazy. When she was able to see, she was at someones home. Except

that there was stuff on top of her. Like bowls of fruit and trays of cookies. In the

morning, she heard someone say, Come sit down at the counter for breakfast

kids! And then she knew that home was gone.
