3 System Preparation

3.1 Technical System Landscape

There are three options for technical system landscapes for SAP HANA Live for Business Suite:

1. Integrated scenario - SAP HANA Live shares a SAP HANA appliance with the BusinessSuite system, whose data is being used for SAP HANA Live. This scenario is recommendedfor source systems which do run on SAP HANA.

2. Side-by-side scenario - Two separate systems for SAP Business Suite and SAP HANA,

where the data is replicated to SAP HANA using the SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT).  3. Side-by-side with BW on HANA integrated scenario   – It is similar with Scenario 2, but with

BW on HANA integrated on the same HANA box.

In each case, SAP BI Platform could connect to the HANA box to provide BOBJ analysis.

Please refer to the Technical System Landscape of the Administrator’s Guide for detailedtechnical system landscape information.

In case you want to know more about BW integration with SAP HANA Live, please followConfiguration Guide H35: SAP HANA Live integration with BW, which is Building BlockConfiguration Guide available in content library for detailed instruction.

In case you want to install SAP Smart Business Cockpits, please follow Configuration Guide H29: Fiori Setup for Smart Business Cockpits, which is Building Block Configuration Guide available incontent library for detailed information on how to setup Smart Business Cockpit in your landscape.Generally speaking, SAP NetWeaver Gateway, SAP Web Dispatcher and SAP HANA Studio areneeded.

3.2 Solution Overview

This SAP Rapid Deployment Solution is based on SAP HANA Live for SAP Business Suite 1.0, latestSupport Package, and SAP Smart Business Cockpits 1.0, latest support package. It provides pre-configured analysis or enhancement based on the HANA models provided.

3.3 Checking Software Pre-requisite

Please refer to the Software Requirement Document for detailed information.

4 Step-by-Step Installation GuideThis section provides an overview of the installation procedure. Please refer to the

Installation Steps - General Information of the Administrator’s Guide for detailed install and

configures information.

For the Integrated Scenario option, you may skip sections 4.2 SLT Configuration and 4.3 Initial Loadand Replication of this document. Since the ABAP server creates all tables in one specific databasecatalog schema (typically <SAPSID>) in integrated scenario, this needs to be mapped to the authoring

schema of the imported content packages. You may refer to 4.3.2 for schema mapping details.

Calendar Type Gregorian

From Year: For example: 1990

To Year: For example: 2030

Granularity: For example: Day

First day of the week: For example: Sunday  The first day of the week inyour company

6. Choose Finish .

7. Repeat steps 3-6 for the granularities Week, Month and Year. For Month and Year, First day ofthe week value is not necessary.

8. Check table M_TIME_DIMENSION, M_TIME_DIMENSION_WEEK,M_TIME_DIMENSION_MONTH, M_TIME_DIMENSION_YEAR in schema _SYS_BI to confirmthe time generation.

NOTE: For all data that is associated with a timestamp, you would need to convert this intoformat that contains fields such as hours, days, months, years and so on. Once yougenerate the time data, a table containing all the time data is created.

Recommendation: With a given HANA system, please make sure this step is performedbefore analyzing data from the reports, since some Applications will report error message if

they coud not find corresponding Time Dimension from HANA. And the time dimension forreports could also be wrong without this step.

2063409 Tables for SAPHANA Live for Retail

SAP_ECC

Note: The tables can be added by loading files downloaded from SAP Notes, instead of addingtables manually one by one.

 After reading the Solution Scope and Configuration Guide documents, you can identify the tables thatmust be loaded and replicated from source system. The initial load process can take some time tocomplete and depends on the size of the data being loaded into HANA server. Additional details maybe found in the following document: Application Operations Guide – Trigger-Based DataReplication Using SAP LT Replication Server for SAP HANA.

4.3.1 Initial Load and Replication of ECC TablesThe following sections use ECC as an example to show how this process is performed, for other SAP

Business Suite systems such as CRM; you can refer the similar process.

Prerequisite

The SLT configuration has been setup successfully. Make sure DD02L and DD02T tables are createdand data is replicated completely.

Procedure1. Choose StartAll ProgramsSAP HANA SAP HANA Studio to open your SAP HANA

Studio.

2. Log on to your HANA server if not automatically logged on.

3. From the Quick View tab page, choose Data Provisioning.

4. In the Data Provisioning Page, select your HANA system, and choose Finish.

5. Choose the correct source system.

6. Choose button Replicate.

7. In the Replicate dialog, input table names from above mentioned SAP Notes, choose button Add  to make it in the selected section. Or you can use the Load from CSV f i le  button to add tables inbatch.

Please note that the replication for big tables may need some time to complete.  Therefore,it is recommended to load big tables as last step e.g. BSEG, BKPF, FAGLFLEXA.

8. Choose Finish  to load all the tables.

4.3.2 Schema Mapping

UseThe delivered packages refer to a pre-defined schema, such as SAP_ECC, are called authoringschema. To refer the views in the packages to the replication schema, a schema mapping must bedefined in the SAP HANA database via the SAP HANA Studio.

For example, package sap.hba.ecc refers to authoring schema SAP_ECC. In your system landscapethe tables from your SAP ECC system are replicated into replication schema <CorrespondingCustomer SLT-Schema>. Then a schema mapping has to be set up from SAP_ECC to<Corresponding Customer SLT-Schema>.

The table below shows the relationship between delivered packages and their authoring schema:

4.4.2 Working with Solution Manager

Prerequisite

Your SAP HANA database has to be registered in the System Landscape Directory (SLD).

In addition, your SAP HANA database must be created as a product system in the LandscapeManagement Database. You do this in SAP Solution Manager using transaction LMDB. This isnecessary for the steps described under SAP Solution Manager below.

For more information about how to register in SLD, see SAP Help Portal athttp://help.sap.com/hana_appliance .

Procedure1. In SAP Solution Manager, run transaction LMDB. On the Product Systems tab, select yourproduct system and choose Display.

NOTE: This will update your SAP HANA DB to SPS 08 or higher.

7. Confirm the Major Target by choosing Continue.

8. To choose your products, note the following:

Note: If you are using Maintenance Optimizer 3.0, the Add-On Product List is created dynamically.

You initially see only add-ons that can be installed directly on the SAP HANA database. If youwant to install an add-on that requires another add-on to be installed, you must first select therequired product version on which the product you want to install is based.

Example: You want to install the product version SAP WORK CAPITAL ANALYTICS 1.0. For thisproduct version to be listed, you must first have selected SAP HANA ANALYTICS FOR ERP 1.0.

If you product has several instances, you must select the instances you want to install manually.When your instance is selected, choose Apply.

9. Follow this procedure for all products you want to install. When you are done, choose Continue.

10. Under Select OS/DB-Dependent Files, expand the instance node under File Name. Select SAPHANA database and choose Continue.

11. Under Select Files for Add-on Products, choose Continue.

12. Under Select Stack-Dependent Files, under File Name, new database patches are pre-selected bydefault. If you do not want to install these patches, de-select them. You must not deselect OS-DBif you are upgrading your SAP HANA database to HANA SPS 08. Choose Continue.

13. Confirm the download basket by choosing Continue.

14. On the Stack Files tab, download the System-Specific XML for SLM. Save and close theMaintenance Optimizer windows. Then download the calculated files using SAP DownloadManager from SAP Service Marketplace. Make the downloaded files and XML files available onyour SAP HANA appliance.

15. As the SYSTEM user in the SAP HANA studio, right-click on the server node in the navigationpane, and select Lifecycle Management.

16. Select Apply Support Package Stack under Update SAP HANA System.

17. Choose Manually downloaded content, then browse to find the content you downloaded in step 5and run the installation and update procedure.

For more information about the Maintenance Optimizer, see SAP Help Portalat http://help.sap.com/solutionmanager71

Note: There will be activation errors for content package HCO_RDS_SHL_ECC , since no tableHIER_AUTH in schema SAP_HBA. You need to manually create this HIER_AUTH hdb table.

1) In SAP HANA studio, switch to SAP HANA Development perspective and navigate to theProject Explorer tab.

2) Right click on the blank area and choose New  -> Project .

3) In the New Project page, choose XS Project . Click Next .

4) In the New XS Project page, check the box before Share Project in SAP repository  and fill inthe Project name with db. Click Next .

5) In the Share Project page, Click Add Workspace, choose your SAP HANA system, check thebox before Use Default Workspace or rename the Workspace Name. Choose Finish.

6) Back to the Share Project page, Click Browse… behind Repository Package, choose sap ->rds-shl -> ecc -> co from your workspace and click OK . Make sure the box before Add projectFolder as Subpackage is selected. Click Next .

7) In the Create Object page, fill in the box behind Schema with SAP_HBA. Choose Finish.8) Right click on the db project and choose New -> Database Table.

9) In the New Database Table page, fill in the File name with HIER_AUTH. Choose Finish.

10) Paste the following code:

table.schemaName = "SAP_HBA";

table.tableType = COLUMNSTORE;

table.columns =

[

{name = "LOGSYS"; sqlType = NVARCHAR; length = 10; nullable = false; comment= "Logical system";},

{name = "USER"; sqlType = NVARCHAR; length = 12; nullable = false; comment= "User";},

{name = "SUBCLASS"; sqlType = NVARCHAR; length = 4; nullable = false; comment= "Controlling Area";},

{name = "SETCLASS"; sqlType = NVARCHAR; length = 4; nullable = false; comment= "Set Class";},

{name = "SETNAME"; sqlType = NVARCHAR; length = 24; nullable = false; comment= "Hierarchy Node";}

];

table.primaryKey.pkcolumns = ["LOGSYS", "USER", "SUBCLASS", "SETCLASS","SETNAME"];

11) Click Activate button or press Ctrl+F3.

12) Redeploy the calculation view CostCenterAuthorized .
