2 System Setup & PreparationPrior to installing and activating an SAP repaid-deployment solution, the target SAP ApplicationServer (AS) must be installed together with the Support Package Stack (SPS) specified in thissection.

Additionally, the SAP Notes named in the SAP Notes and Messages section in this guide must beimplemented.

2.1 Release and Support Package LevelThe deliverables of SAP rapid-deployment solutions were developed and tested in a systemlandscape with specific release and support package (SPS) level. If the SPS level in your systemis different, there may be errors during the activation.

Make sure that your system meets the minimum SPS level requirements. In caseyour system has an exceptional SPS level compared to the SAP rapid-deployment

solutions requirements, only limited support can be provided. If you need a higher SPS level in your system, for example, because of additionalfunctionality, first configure the SAP rapid-deployment solution on the SPS levels asmentioned below, then update your system to the target SPS level.

The support package levels relevant for the solution package are listed together with the requiredcomponents in the Required Product Versions and Software Components section.

Receiving the Software at the Correct SP Level

For delivery of the software, an installation number and a corresponding license agreement arerequired. An S-USER is required to order software in the Software Catalog or download from theSAP Software Download Center (SWDC) on SAP Service Marketplace (SMP). You can onlyorder unrestricted SAP software. Contact the SAP contract department to ask for a physicalshipment or create a customer message on component XX-SER-GEN-CONTR.

For downloading SPSs, use the Maintenance Optimizer in your SAP Solution Manager system. You can also select relevant SPSs manually one-by-one via the SWDC on SAP ServiceMarketplace:

https://service.sap.com/swdc   Support Packages and Patches   A-Z Index

Only the current Service Release (SR) is delivered to SAP customers/partners via theSWDC on SMP and standard delivery (for example, the Software Catalogue). If youencounter the situation that the required SPS for correct SAP BP packages activationis based on a SPS level LOWER than the current Service Release, the request for the necessary SPS is handled by a customer message. For details, see SAP Note925690 Standard Ordering Procedures for SAP Software.

2.2 Required Product Versions and SoftwareComponents

Before the SAP Fiori apps rapid-deployment solution can be implemented, customers areexpected to have a backend system up and running with certain release or SP levels that arerequired for the applications the customer intends to use.The Software Requirements document lists all software components and release levels required, which you can access via the step-by-step guide: Start  Confirm Installation.

The table lists the software required to install the solution:

Product Product Version Component Comments

Content Add-On.

Not applicable Required implementationtool

For more information seesection SAP Solution

Manager and SAPSolution Manager Content Add-On.

Usually, required software components and SPS levels are downloaded using the MaintenanceOptimizer in SAP Solution Manager. Alternatively, you can download the software manually fromthe SAP Software Download Center (SWDC) on SAP Service Marketplace:

For installing software, go to https://service.sap.com/swdc Installations and Upgrades

Entry by Application Group  SAP Application Components

For support packages, go to https://service.sap.com/swdc   Support Packages and

Patches  Entry by Application Group  SAP Application Components

2.3 Required configuration settingsIn order to apply a complete configuration to the customer system landscape the settingsdescribed in the configuration guides need to be applied in this system landscape. Theprerequisite matrix lists all configuration guides required, which you can access via the step-by-step guide: Start  Deploy Manual activation and configuration  Prerequisite Matrix.

Find here an overview and additional comments regarding the configuration guides.

Generic enablement of SAP Fiori (MF1):

This guide describes all settings which are common for all transactional Fiori apps and need to beapplied completely.

Fiori app specific settings per business role:

The app specific settings are clustered per business role in the role specific configuration guides. The respective chapters per app need to be applied for all apps in scope of the SAP Fiori appsrapid-deployment solution.

Installation and configuration of common components of SAP Fiori (EE0):

Only parts of this configuration guide are applicable for the SAP Fiori apps rapid-deploymentsolution depending of the use case to be implemented.

In case the Fiori apps are intended to be accessed in the customers internal network onlyand only transactional Fiori apps are implemented the configuration described in thisguide are obsolete. There is no need to configure the Web Dispatcher and a ReverseProxy.

Configuration of SAP Web Dispatcher: The SAP Web Dispatcher needs to be configuredin case multiple ODATA Service providers are being used. This is not the case if only

transactional apps are being used – but most likely once Fact Sheets and/or SmartBusiness Apps are implemented and used as well. Hence the chapter ‘Configuring SAPWeb Dispatcher’ needs to be applied in this case.

In case the Fiori apps are intended to be accessed via the internet zone a Reverse Proxyis required. Hence the chapter ‘Install and configure Apache Reverse Proxy’ needs to becarried through in this case.

Network and Security Conf iguration (EE2):

This configuration guide describes the security relevant configurations to make all SAP Fioriscenarios secure.

Different customer scenarios can be considered:

Only transactional Fiori apps are in scope and are accessed only via customer internalnetwork: At least the connection between the SAP Frontend Server (SAP Netweaver Gateway System) and the connected SAP Backend System needs to be secured. Hencethe following chapters need to be applied:

o Enabling SNC between Gateway and ABAP Backend System

o  Enabling Front-end server to use HTTPS

o  Activating HTTP Security Session Management on AS ABAP

o  The authentication process is described in the chapters Single Sign On (SSO)Enablement. Either the combination of SAML and SS02 or X.509 can be appliedas described in this chapter.

Access to the transactional Fiori apps via internet zone shall be granted. The followingchapters are relevant in this case:

o Enabling SNC between Gateway and ABAP Backend System

o  Enabling Front-end server to use HTTPS

o  Enabling HTTPS for Apache Reverse Proxy

o  Activating HTTP Security Session Management on AS ABAP

o  The authentication process is described in the chapters Single Sign On (SSO)Enablement. Either the combination of SAML and SS02 or X.509 can be appliedas described in this chapter.

Configuration and personalization of central UI component of SAP Fiori

(EE3):This configuration guide describes the usage of the SAP Launchpad Designer. This tool is beingused to configure the SAP Launchpad. The SAP Fiori apps rapid-deployment solution does notrequire any changes in the Launchpad or additional settings via the Launchpad designer. Thiscontent is intended to be pure optional.

2.3.1 SAP Solut ion Manager and SAP Solut ion Manager Content Add-on

For the implementation of the solution package, a SAP Solution Manager system is

recommended. SAP Solution Manager in general is needed for installation and managing of maintenance certificates, Enhancement Packages and upgrades. In the context of SAP Rapid-Deployment solutions, implementation content is delivered via SAP Solution Manager Templates.

It is assumed that a productive SAP Solution Manager system is available in the customer’ssystem landscape: if the customer is already using other SAP products (for example, SAP ERP)SAP Solution Manager should already be present in the system landscape.
