    3 System Preparation

3.1 Technical System Landscape There are three options for technical system landscapes for SAP HANA Live for Business Suite:

    1. Integrated scenario - SAP HANA Live shares a SAP HANA appliance with the Business Suite system, whose data is being used for SAP HANA Live. This scenario is recommended for source systems which do run on SAP HANA.

    2. Side-by-side scenario - Two separate systems for SAP Business Suite and SAP HANA, where the data is replicated to SAP HANA using the SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT).

    3. Side-by-side with BW on HANA integrated scenario It is similar with Scenario 2, but with BW on HANA integrated on the same HANA box.

In each case, SAP BI Platform could connect to the HANA box to provide BOBJ analysis.

Please refer to the Technical System Landscape of the Administrators Guide for detailed technical system landscape information.

In case you want to know more about BW integration with SAP HANA Live, please follow Configuration Guide H35: SAP HANA Live integration with BW, which is Building Block Configuration Guide available in content library for detailed instruction.

3.2 Solution Overview This SAP Rapid Deployment Solution is based on SAP HANA Live for SAP Business Suite 1.0 latest Support Package, and provides pre-configured analysis or enhancement based on the HANA models provided.

3.3 Checking Software Pre-requisite Please refer to the Software Requirement Document for detailed information.

4 Step-by-Step Installation Guide This section provides an overview of the installation procedure. Please refer to the

Installation Steps - General Information of the Administrators Guide for detailed install and configure information.

For the Integrated Scenario option, you may skip sections 4.2 SLT Configuration and 4.3 Initial Load and Replication of this document. Since the ABAP server creates all tables in one specific database catalog schema (typically ) in integrated scenario, this needs to be mapped to the authoring schema of the imported content packages. You may refer to 4.3.2 for schema mapping details.

4.1 Install and Configure SAP HANA The In-Memory Computing Engine consists of the following components:

    SAP HANA Server.

    SAP HANA Client.

    SAP HANA Studio.

The tables can be added by loading files downloaded from SAP Notes, instead of adding tables manually one by one.

After reading the Solution Scope and Configuration Guide documents, you can identify the tables that must be loaded and replicated from source system. The initial load process can take some time to complete and depends on the size of the data being loaded into HANA server. Additional details may be found in the following document: Application Operations Guide Trigger-Based Data Replication Using SAP LT Replication Server for SAP HANA at http://help.sap.com/hana_platform.

4.3.1 Initial Load and Replication of ECC Tables The following sections use ECC as an example to show how this process is performed, for other SAP Business Suite systems such as CRM; you can refer the similar process.

    7. Choose Finish to load all the tables.

    4.3.2 Schema Mapping

Use The delivered packages refer to a pre-defined schema, such as SAP_ECC, are called authoring schema. To refer the views in the packages to the replication schema, a schema mapping must be defined in the SAP HANA database via the SAP HANA studio.

For example, package sap.hba.ecc refers to authoring schema SAP_ECC. In your system landscape the tables from your SAP ECC system are replicated into replication schema . Then a schema mapping has to be set up from SAP_ECC to .

The table below shows the relationship between delivered packages and their authoring schema:
