RACE G is a 'Divine influence that inspire virtuous occurrences in the life of humans'. While recognition can be defined as 'to give a favourable notice to somebody; give someone a good attention or for someone to be accorded honour'. Everyone loves to be recognised in a good way. Either for who they are; what they are doing or what they have done. People become recipient of such good attention if they are born into a honourable family; if they are successful in hard work; or if they deceive people into believing they are what they are not. Interestingly, some people are just blessed with 'grace of recognition'. It is a genome that God has put into such people that make them exemplary. So that wherever they are, even without making any compelling effort, they will still get favourably noticed, given good attention and accorded honours. In Gen. 37: 2-4, we read that the life of Joseph was such that enjoyed grace of recognition. He was born into a family of twelve sons, he was the number eleven, yet he was the most recognised. The attention given to him by their father was second to none. The honour accorded to him was special. His dresses, meals, tasks, etc were all specially arranged as he grew up as a child. Also, when he got to Potiphar's house as a slave, the grace of recognition was seen upon his life. Potiphar must have had other servants, particularly Egyptian house helps, but he accorded greater honour to Joseph and treated him as a son rather than a slave (Gen. 39:1-9). Again, when Joseph was in prison, the grace of recognition was seen on him still. Usually, the Commander of prison inmates is usually either the one who has served the longest time; the one who is the strongest physically or the one who is the oldest in age. Joseph was young, a foreign inmate, a new arrival, not physically powerful and yet became the Commander of the inmates because he received favourable notice from the Chief Warder and other inmates (Gen. 39:19-23). It was the grace of recognition that made the Chief Butler and the Chief Baker to have conversation with a slave prisoner who was very low in social strata compared to them (Gen. 40:6-19). After Joseph gave the interpretation of Pharaoh's dreams, the grace of recognition made it that Joseph was given unbelievable power and attention in Egypt and also given the king's daughter as a wife without family introduction! (Gen. 41:25-45). In this month of May and henceforth, God will bless our parish and our members with grace of recognition. Individuals and families within us will start to enjoy favourable notices; good attentions and exemplary honours. Places that they have not given us heed before shall herald our presence in Jesus name. M ANY times God makes promises years before He intends for them to happen. For example, Jesus coming was promised by God as far back as the Garden of Eden (Gen. 3:15) and subsequently by the Prophets (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6-7; Micah 5:2; etc.). The annunciation proper was later made to Mary by Angel Gabriel when God was ready to fulfil His plan (Lk. 1:26-38). As we were rounding up 2015, God began to tell me what He will do for us in 2016. Some of the things He said: FOR INDIVIDUALS 1 Some families will trace the beginning of their generational blessings to this year. 2. Some will receive help from unexpected sources. 3. Grateful hearts will have more causes to be grateful 4. For many, the pendulum of life will generally be on the upward swing 5. A chosen few will receive blessings so large they can hardly contain them FOR NIGERIA 1. Things are likely to get tougher, before they get better, but things will definitely get better before the year ends. 2. What He started last year, He will finish this year, provided we don’t rejoice too soon. INTERNATIONAL 1. Natural disasters, floods, fires, earthquakes, are likely to get progressively worse, until governments realize that these are part of divine judgement against those who have passed unholy laws. If governments will repent of disdaining Christ and His church, He will help them win the fight against terrorism. 2. A major war will be averted this year 3. A new sexually transmitted diseases will surface. May You Be A Highly Sought After PersonContinued from Page 4

In Mal. 3:17, God said a day is coming when He will gather together His precious Jewels unto Himself, sadly not everyone will be among these Jewels. Those who will be among these Jewels are the faithful and obedient children of God.Malachi 3:17 - And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.- May you be among those precious jewels of God.But even as we yet live, God still has rare gems whom are His ambassadors on earth. These are people whom God uses to demonstrate His glory and power. They were born as ordinary beings, but God transformed them to super ordinary beings.- May you and I enter into that category in Jesus name.Men as social beings, we like to gather together in societies. To be among the highly sought after within and outside any gathering, one must strive to be unique and distinct. One must also pray for the grace to stand out from the crowd. In the Old Testament, one of the highly sought after person was Elisha. At best Elisha was to be a lucrative farmer, which would have earned him recognition in his home town alone. However, God turned him into an international figure. In 2 kings 2:1-22, God began to demonstrate His grace of recognition upon Prophet Elisha. Elijah repeated persuade Elisha to stay behind when God was about to take him to heaven. Elisha however persistently said no until he received the double grace of anointing upon the life of Elijah.Upon receiving this grace, all the sons of prophets who were mocking Elisha before became subordinate to him, not only that, Elisha became the prophet and father to kings. As soon as Elisha crossed over Jordan River miraculously, the people of Jericho cried out to him to heal their land and water.A curse that was placed on Jericho for many generations was reversed by Elisha easily.Something they never had the gut to ask the powerful Elijah was put to him and he didn't fail.Elisha declared the word of God, the rest was history.- Thus says the Lord, I have healed you from today.- May God demonstrate His grace of recognition on you.- May that grace make you to stand before kings.- May those that had mocked you before come again to bow to the grace of God upon you.
