The Perry Family Mailer Monthly Feature: Life in the Zoo By Raelynn Kay Perry The latest and most important buzz surrounding my family right now would be my brother’s wedding coming up in November. We all agree that this girl is “the one” and I really can’t wait for her to be my sister. The wedding will take place in Florida where she is from and, I as well as my sister, get to be a bride’s maid. We’re all so thrilled. On a less cheery note, my uncle Jerry recently passed away. He developed lung cancer a few years ago and thought he had it best. He went in for a routine checkup about a month ago and learned that the cancer had spread all over his body and his time vas very short. He died a couple of weeks ago and my mom and dad went up for the funeral and I guess they got the closure they needed. The most scandalous thing to take place was my recent piercing. I had to fight my parents for about a month to convince them to let me get one for my 17 th birthday. I even found Bible verses about nose rings and used them in my argument. FINALLY they agreed to let me get it done. The deal is I can’t wear it to any family functions (I would actually give my grandparents a heart attack with this thing) and if I perform at church I can’t wear it. Pretty much everyone in my immediate family thinks it’s stupid. But I love it so happy birthday to me!

By Raelynn Kay Perry

The latest and most important buzz surrounding my family right

now would be my brother’s wedding coming

up in November. We all agree that this girl

is “the one” and I really can’t wait for her to

be my sister. The wedding will take place in

Florida where she is from and, I as well as

my sister, get to be a bride’s maid. We’re all

so thrilled.

On a less cheery note, my uncle Jerry

recently passed away. He developed lung cancer a few years ago

and thought he had it best. He went in for a routine checkup about

a month ago and learned that the cancer had spread all over his

body and his time vas very short. He died a couple of weeks ago

and my mom and dad went up for the funeral and I guess they got

the closure they needed.

The most scandalous thing to take place was my recent piercing. I

had to fight my parents for about a month to convince them to let

me get one for my 17th

birthday. I even found Bible verses about

nose rings and used them in my argument. FINALLY they agreed

to let me get it done. The deal is I can’t wear it to any family

functions (I would actually give my grandparents a heart attack

with this thing) and if I perform at church I can’t wear it. Pretty

much everyone in my immediate family thinks it’s stupid. But I

love it so happy birthday to me!

MEMBER UPDATES

Mom:

Mom, Robin is trying to find a job. She lost hers this summer and is doing her best to find one. To keep herself from going crazy she has joined many groups at our church. I pray she can keep her spirits up.

Dad:

Dad, Rick is pretty preoccupied with his (he is the coach) cross country team these days.Apparently it’s the girl’syear to win it all. Good luck to them. I think he just got a new job too. But I could be wrong.

Sister:

My sister, Raegan is on the fast track to success, as always. She attends the honors college at UNC and just got back from Mexico where she studied abroad. I think her and her boyfriend, Corey of like five years are having problems. Is it possible for two people to be happily together forever?

Brother:

My Brother, Russell is getting married to Liz. They found each

other in Colorado (where he lives now). I’ve never seen him so

in love. It’s actually quite nauseating but I’m really happy for

him. She’s so perfect for him too. Their dates are taking hikes

and skiing and fly fishing. Oh and she’s an engineer and works for NASA.

Grandmother:

Grandpa is dying ofOld age.

Grandfather:

Nana is killing herself trying to

keep him from dying. They will

die together though.

Mom’s Monthly Message

GOD Bless You
