AbouttheTrust

TheAcademyispartoftheTauheedulEducationTrust(TET).TETisoneoftheUK’sleadingeducationproviders.OriginallyestablishedintheNorthWest,theTrustnowrunsprimaryandsecondaryacademiesacrossthecountry.TETacademiesarelocatedinfiveclusterareas–Lancashire,GreaterManchester,WestYorkshire,theWestMidlandsandLondon.Academieswithintheclustersworktogethertoshareexpertiseandmaximiseopportunitiesandexperiencesforourpupils.TheTrustemploystheverybeststaffandinvestsheavilyintheircontinuingprofessionaldevelopment.StaffbenefitfromanextensiverangeofnationallyaccreditedtrainingprovidedbytheTauheedulCollegeforTeachingandLeadership.TheCollegealsoprovidespathwaysforourpupilsintocareersinteachingandeducation.Tauheedulschoolspromoteexcellenceineverythingtheydo.Ineveryschool,theentirestaffteam–workinginpartnershipwithparents–iscommittedtonurturingtoday’syoungpeopleandinspiringtomorrow’sleaders.

InSeptember2012wemovedintoournewbuilding.Thenewacademyisdesignedtoprovideanenvironmentthatallowsflexibilityoflearningandorganisationalarrangementsthatrespondtotheneedsofindividualsandgroupsofpupils.

DepartmentInformation:MFLThe Modern Foreign Language programmes we offer develop pupils’ cultural awareness, teachthemthe fundamentalsofcommunicatingeffectively ina foreign language,andequip themwiththe skills they need to progress to a global marketplace. They promote a healthy attitude oftolerance and understanding and help pupils to see beyond the microcosms of their owncommunities, providing an insight into the similarities and differences between contrastingcultures,alongwiththetraditionsthathelptoinformthem.Pupilswill learnhow to conveyvital informationabout themselves, their familiesand their lives,andwillalsomasteressentialphrases,suchashowtoaskfordirections,orderfood,andorganisesocialengagements.Pronunciationandgrammarwillbekeycomponentsof thecourse,ensuringpupilsareabletocommunicatethroughbothspokenandwrittenmediums.Pupils will also learn a variety of valuable transferrable skills whilst undertaking aMFL, such ascommunication,problem-solving,creativity,ICT,literacy,numeracyandperformanceskills.MFLDepartment:Staffing
