Tiger Shout-Outs

A Note from the PTA President As we near the end of our school year, I want to take a moment to thank our incredible

Brookside community. Every single new program or change you see is a result of parent

feedback, collaboration between volunteers and school staff, and execution via the time and

hard work invested by dedicated volunteers and staff.

There is a saying, “Volunteers Do Not Necessarily Have the Time, They Have the Heart.”

and I think of this each day I see our parent volunteers at work in the classroom, helping with

traffic & safety in the mornings, helping at our lunchtime enrichment programs, volunteering

for class parties, donating supplies, and running programs in the midst of the busyness,

challenges, and responsibilities we all have.

I am so grateful for the parent, staff, and administrative support we have at this school and am

continually humbled by the sacrificial giving of our families in both time and resources to

bridge the funding gap California public schools currently face so that our children have a

top-notch education supported with enriching programs. Thank YOU for making Brookside such a wonderful place to be.

Special thanks to the executive board, program & fundraising chairs, Principal Ahl, all of our supportive teachers and staff, counselor Holly Baxter, our Office Manager, Virginia Standring, and student services assistants, Maureen Winter, Michelle DiCamillo, our custodial staff, Antonio Salas & Elba Lopez—thank you for your tremendous work this year that made all these programs and events happen.

-Tina Wang

Thank You to Our School Site Council Members Parent Members: Andrew Cook, Ty Avendano, Lisa Kommers, and Eliza Parker

Staff & Teacher Members: Sara Ahl, Tara Hees, and Kim Annino

Brookside PTA Program & Fundraising Chairs Brookside programs would not be possible without the generous contributions from our

parents and a large group of committed parent volunteers, teachers and staff that work

together to make these programs happen for our children.
