A. When do we use the present simple?

1. Facts, things that are always or generaly true.

The sun is hot and big.

Coins are round.

Two plus two are four.

Snow is cold.

2. Situations that are more or less permanent.

I go to a high school in Gurb.

The floor is hard.

Trousers are long.

Leaves are green.

3. Things we do regularly: habits or routines.

I get up at 7:00.

I eat cereal with milk for breakfast.

I whatch TV in the evening.

4. To discribe feelings or thoughts.

Eloi thinks that politics is very interesting.

Miquel thinks that FCB is the best team ever.

I like skating.

Albert thinks that Catalonia should be independent.
