A man described as middling stout, middle height, sandy whiskers, walks lame, and wearing blue serge smock, boots with heavy nails in soles, toe and heel tips, was seen loitering about the place on that date. Special inquiries to be made by Perth and Fremantle police to find name and address of offender, and report to Detective OfSce, Perth.

Bank, drawn by Joseph Logue, in favor of McAtee or bearer, dated Sth July, 1878; cheque for £ 1 , on the W.A. Bank, drawn by W. and G. His present where­abouts is required to be known at the Detective Ofiice, Perth, without delay. This ma.n received his Conditional Release at Geraldton, on 19th April, 1875.

Absconder. 91. JOHN FAEEON, 1.1., Reg. No. 7684, stout,

age 45, 5ft. 6|in. high, dark browu hair, blue eyes, oval visage, sallow complexion ; D left breast. Absconded from the Toodyay District, on 6th July, 1878.

Conditional Release issued to:—

Reg. No. 9339, John Walters, at Perth Police Court, on 9th inst., convicted at Central Criminal Court, Middlesex, 10th April, 1865, for robbery with violence, and sentenced to 14 years' p.s. He intends to reside in Perth for the present.

Horses and Cattle. Stolen sometime since February last, from Joseph

Spencer's run, Gordon River, black mare, grey flanks, about 4 years old, 15 hands high, star in forehead, branded J S on off side of neck. A mare answering this description was seen in William Mooi'e's possession at Fanny's Cove, in Aprd last.

On the 9th inst., from the person of Frederick Tabscott, while drunk ia his tent, near the Eailway Line, Northampton,—four ^ 5 W.A. Bank Notes, numbered 888, 202, 580, and 1099, the property of John Sampey. One of these =£5 notes was changed by Tabscott himself, but not known which. Frank Fallon, t.l., Eeg. Stealing in Dwellings, from the Person, &c.

On the 16th ult., from James Smith's hut, Buhang-ins, Newcastle District,—341bs. flour, fib. powder, 5 lbs. shot, 1 box of gun caps, quantity of tea and sugar, and a small cotton bag with red stripes and running string, the property of Charles Hennessey. Jimmy Wonmar and Dickey Wonbaner, ab. natives, suspected.—C.L 344.

On the 20th ult., from Karratha Station, Maitland Eiver,—bay mare, 14 | hands, strongly built, long hair on legs, branded y on near ribs, one saddle nearly new, torn across the seat, and sewn up with a wax-end; one bridle, light brown leather, plated buckles, and snaffte bit, single blue blanket, one valise strap (new). Simon alias Yarriet suspected.— Vide warrants issued.—C.L 345.

On the 3rd inst., from James Smith's hut, Wye-Wye, Newcastle District,—28 lbs. flour and a quan­tity of cooked meat, the property of Charles Hen­nessey. Jimmy Wonmar and Dickey Wonbaner, ab. natives, suspected.—C.L 346.

Sometime last week, from a tool chest at the Go­vernment quarries, about 1 | miles from Geraldton, on the Greenough road,—3 iron picks, 1 keg of blasting powder, 1 iron drill spoon, the property of the Local Government. This robbery was effected by breaking the padlock. John Barnett, td., 9658, sus-peded.—G.l. 347.

On the night of the 22nd inst., from the dwelling of Abraham Michael, Guildford,—fifteen ^ 1 bank notes, numbers or banks not known. This robbery was effected by breaking the lock of the box where the money was kept in Michael's bedroom. Vide Apprehensions.—C.L 348.

Since the 22nd inst., from John Lewis' store, Fre­mantle,—40 yards cotton twill .shirting, small check pattern, narrow blue stripes. Margaret Stone, sus­pected.—C.L 349.

On the 15th inst, from Thomas Brown's hut, York road,—15 lbs. flour. A tall man wearing a mackintosh

suspected, as he was seen at the hut at midnight, on the 14th inst.—C.L 350.
