Play with Purpose Gamification Workshop (2 day) Overview This document provides an overview of the structure of a two day gamification workshop designed to engage participants in exploring and understanding the role and value of gamification in a variety of applications which might include learning and development, corporate strategy, health, culture, heritage and tourism, problem solving, politics and relationship management. The workshop also discusses the impact of emerging technologies on gamification and provides delegates with a methodologies and toolkit for applying gamification to their own situation. The workshop itself is a practical example of how a training workshop can employ gamification to achieve its objectives in a memorable and motivating way. Afternoon Session (13:30 - 16:30) Immersive Technologies and Gamification The afternoon session continues to build on developing an understanding of the importance of games practices and introduces the important emerging technologies that shape the use of gamification.

Day Two Morning Session (09:30 - 12:30) The morning session begins with a review of progress towards meeting workshop objectives and further work on the Value Proposition Canvas before introducing the Play with Purpose Canvas. Delegates will analyse existing games of their choice and conceive ideas for repurposing a game of their choice using the canvas model :-

Afternoon Session (13:30 - 16:30) Brainstorming Gamification Case Study The final session bring groups of delegates together to gamify personal projects by completing the Play with Purpose canvas and presenting their solutions to the workshop.
