This is the normal operating screen

viewed by the operator.

•Top left hand in Mainline Distance Out to rigging or carriage•Top centre is Skyline distance to end of rope. Both of these measurements are drum readings giving precise measurement of rope off the drum.• The white bar graph corresponds with Mainline distance. The yellow markers are from previous talkie tooter locations showing where previous drags came from.•The blue horizontal line shows where the remote camera will turn on and off automatically giving the operator a full screen camera view of awkward areas needed to be avoided. This line can be removed or shifted by the operator.•Skyline tension is calibrated showing over tensioning.•Guyline tensions for each respective guyline showing tensioning between all guylines.•Log count which is activated each time a drag is landed. One press of a button positioned on one of the control handles will count one piece and one drag to increase pieces, press respective number required. This information is recorded and time lapsed.•Hours the machine has been operating today and hours to go before servicing.

•When count gets to 40hrs it will change colour to red to indicate servicing will be due, giving the operator time to make arrangements for servicing to be under-taken. It is based on a 250hr schedule.•Landscape , by pressing this it will bring this screen up with contour maps.•Various contour mapping is in use and can be down loaded to suit particular regions or

operations.•Man Tracking, by pressing this Man Tracking will be displayed on screen. •Remote camera, again pressing this symbol will change the screen to remote camera view.•Service information, when pressed will bring up a code pad which will record who has entered by giving different codes to

Each operator, service, personnel etc. This will record who has set parameters, undertaken servicing and when. Once in there is an outer menu which allows settings to be altered. Also included in this is Operators Manual, Service Manual, Parts Listings and any other information that may be required.

Shows when there is no tension being registered an alert is brought up. It also indicates over tensioning as well.

Again this shows No.1 guyline has lost tension in comparison to the other guylines and will warn the operator by bringing up this alert. If it is over tensioned the same

will come up.

Display warning that servicing is overdue.

Shows man tracking and each individual transponder on members of the crew. The blue square indicates the Yarder. The yellow area can be varied to suit each operators “safe distance”.

If any transponder enters this area at anytime.

Camera view which is from a remote camera mounted on a tripod with its own battery and solar charger. The camera is auto focus and can be zoomed in or out by the operator in the cab. The camera is housed in a

protective guard and can be positioned by crew to show clearly any problem areas or in a grapple operation reducing the need for a spotter.

Code panel which with correct pin number will give access to selected people to change settings and parameters. There will be different pin numbers to identify who and when respective people have accessed this area. All this information is recorded and is able to be downloaded for future evaluation, simply using

USB memory stick or WIFI options.

On this aerial map by shifting the red circle, shifts the operators view of the contour under the skyline . Various programs can display various features . We recommend a contractor uses a company program to ensure

continuity between contractor and company.

Documents which should be on the machine can be stored electronically so they are easily accessed by the operator or service personnel. Also in the event the operator needs to order parts before leaving the job.

Most other types of documents can be stored in here.
