WHO IS THE TEACHER? Mr. Bryan DeCaire Went to Botsford Elementary for grade school. Graduated from Clarenceville High School in 1996.

Received college degree from Madonna University.

Worked as a special education Para-educator for 3 years at Botsford

Elementary. Presently attending Madonna University for a Master’s Degree in

Educational Leadership. Principal designee of Botsford Elementary.

Celebrated my 2 year wedding anniversary on July 18th and currently

have a 2 month old son.

CLASSROOM RULES BE ON TIME, READY TO LEARN! Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself. RESPECT all Botsford staff/teachers, materials (pencils, books,

etc.) and fellow classmates at all times. Clean up all materials and classroom when finished. Raise your hand and wait for permission when wanting to

ask/answer a question or to get out of seat or leave the classroom.

Remember: Everyone’s ideas and thoughts need to be heard! Follow directions the first time they are given.

REWARDS PROGRAM Students will have an opportunity to earn tickets for positive behavior,

especially while demonstrating the schools Positive Behavior System (PBS) of: Be Responsible, Be Respectful and Be Safe.

Students may have an opportunity to earn tickets by turning in homework or

having a great classroom discussion. Students will earn tickets for completing their “Classroom Responsibilities”

after the week is completed. Although, students may earn an abundance of tickets throughout the school

year they may also be fined for various behaviors or actions (i.e. not having materials, unorganized desk, etc.)

Students may use these tickets to purchase a variety of items from our

Rewards Menu.

BEHAVIOR CARDS

White Card – Starting Point Green Card – Verbal Warning Yellow Card – 2nd Warning, a “My Action Plan” form will be completed by student

(loss of recess/activity) Red Card – Pink, Yellow or Green Contract written along with an email (or phone

call) to parents, describing behavior Lunch Detentions may be issued for any inappropriate activity, decision and/or behavior that does not meet room 20 or Botsford Elementary expectations. 3 Lunch Detentions = 1 After School Detention Multiple discipline slips, suspensions and/or 3 After School Detentions = NO 5th Grade Camping Trip
