OIA’s Open House on the 10th
September 2010
The President of National Institute of Development Administration graciously presided over the Office
of International Affairs Open House 2010 held on the 10th
September 2011 at the Hall of Fame, Sayam
Boromrajakumari Building. Vice President for Academic Affairs and Assistant to the President for International
Affairs also attended the opening ceremony. In moving forward to the internationalization of NIDA, such
activity aimed to introduce international affairs teamwork and skillful officers. Of great important is a
prosperous relationship built through the OIA Open House ceremony.
OIA’s Outing Activity 2010
The Office of International Affairs provided a study visit for international students on Saturday
27th
November 2010. Organized at the Ancient City, Samutprakarn province, and the Erawan Museum, the
activity allowed students and OIA staff to exchange experience and practical ideas, to enhance melodious
relationship, and more importantly to promote Thai cultural heritage through a pleasant trip.
Valentine’s Day Outing Activity
The International Student Club joined with the OIA staff visited Rajaprajasonggroh School to make a
generous contribution towards handicapped children on the 14th
February 2011. On this occasion, a charitable
lunch including enjoyable activities and special gifts of love was cordially delivered to 50 RAJVITHI orphan girls
to bring happiness for all.
Thai Language Class Activity
The International Student Club and the OIA staff offered a Thai language course for 15 international students during the 9
th
April 2010 to the 6th
August 2010. Performed at the International Student Club on the 2nd
floor of the NIDA Sports Club and Student Union, the teaching and learning activities were introduced by
lecturers from Suma Pasa Language and Cultural School.
OIA’s Dhamma Delivery International Night 7 October 2011
The Office of International Affairs introduced English Dhamma On the 7th
October 2011, the President of National Institute of Development Lecture on the topic of “To live a peaceful life” at NIDA Administration graciously presided over the International Night 2011, conference room 202 on the 2
nd
floor of Sayam Boromrajakumari a recreation activity proposed by the OIA. Fifty-nine participants including Vice Building. The program was presented by Phra Manas Atthateepo, President for Academic Affairs, Curriculum Directors, international students,
a keynote speaker from Wat Arunrajawararam Rajaworamahavihara. Staff from other relevant offices, and auspicious guests joined this special
event in enhancing intimate relationship and cross-cultural unity.
2.3 NIDA International Graduate Program and Training Courses Package (NIDA IP)
The OIA has officially publicized NIDA International Graduate Program and Training Course packages for
prospective students. According to the international courses, 11 incentive programs proposed by 6 graduate
schools have been recently offered, with 33 scholarships granted for international candidates. Additionally,
a variety of training courses have been promoted for particular interests. Subsequent to this announcement,
there has been a growing body of interest in wide-ranging academic and training programs emerged from
various academic institutions, including government and private sectors such as The United Nations
Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Consulate of Swaziland, Laos Embassy, Cambodia
Embassy, and Sudan National Electricity Corporation. Moreover, Ministry of Education in Bangladesh has
showed keen interest in joining students training program featured on negotiation launched by NIDA Training
Center. The international programs and training courses are extensively presented as follows.
- NIDA International Graduate Programs: Providing 11 international programs offered by 6 graduate
schools, including School of Public Administration, School of Business Administration, School of Language
and Communication, School of Applied Statistics, School of Development Economics, and School of
Human Resource Development. Highlighted programs are: Doctor of Philosophy in Development
Administration, Doctoral Program in Business Administration, Master Program in Business Administration,
Doctor of Philosophy in Development Economics, and Master of Arts in Language and Communication.
- International Training Courses: Featuring on 11 training programs, including An Innovation in Public
Administration and Reinforcement, Women’s Empowerment for the Future World Leaders, Negotiation
for the 21st
Century, and Effective Conflict Management.
3. NIDA Academic Collaboration within 4 regional sectors: China, African Continent, Russia, and
Middle East.
Given a proactive strategy in fostering international collaboration, the NIDA executive team has implemented
a collaborative scheme called “Relationship Management Program: RMP”. The program, which is now in
progress, aims for creating network collaboration, mutually fruitful relationship, including student and
academic exchanges within 4 regional parts: China, African Continent, Russia, and Middle East. Underlying the
RMP program, NIDA has planed to visit various institutions in the China in a forthcoming March 2012.
