The front page has the usual info about shows, meeting dates and guest speaker for the month. Page
2 has the editorial and photos of the Grand Champion plants from our recent show. Page 3 has the
minutes of the general meeting.
On page 4 are the committee meeting minutes and the meeting night results are on page 5. Page 6
has photos of the first placed orchids and foliage plants and on page 7 and 8 there are some more
champion plant photos.
Page 9 has some photos of the display tables at our spring show.

Treasurer’s Report:
September: Approximately $17 460.
Petty Cash: August: $516.00.
Show loss was approximately $1 400.00.
Shoe Secretary reported that the Society had received a grant of $2 470.00 towards the running of 2020 Shows.
General Business:
November Meeting will be the Pizza Night.
Christmas Luncheon will be at Happy Valley Chinese Restaurant on 01 December meeting at 11.30 a.m. for a
noon start. Members have the option of bringing in a gift to the value of about $15.00. To receive a gift, you
must bring a gift.
Guest Speaker:
Chris Hood demonstrated his method of potting deflasked orchids and members were invited to follow his ex-
ample and thus keep the potted orchid.
Supper:
Results of competition tables given.
Esme Horsey moved that Rosemary Oakes be made hostess to make welcome visitors but it was suggested that
Rosemary was not familiar enough with members to know who was and was not a visitor.
Esme move that formal presentation of show prizes be made to only those who exhibited championship win-
ners as opposed to all that received first, second and third prizes. Seconded Graeme Dore. President spoke
against this and so motion was not carried.
A new supply of bark has been ordered.
Remind those not at meeting re Pizza Night and Christmas luncheon.

Business Arising:
AGM: is on 20th of February, will have Nomination forms available at January Meeting.
Christmas Party: cost to members will be $15 for adults & $10 children, non-members will be $30.00 ea. Can we please pay for
Christmas party at next meeting.
Christmas Party: to be held at the Happy Valley Restaurant in Beaudesert on Sunday the 1st of December, they will be charging
$29.90 per adult & children will be 2 for one. Jugs of drink will be $10.90 ea. . Please advise if you will be attending.
