Sam’s Soldiers Fight to End Duchenne Fun Run
Benefiting: Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) in Honor of Samuel Stander
The Standers are residents of Fall Creek, and their 6-year old son Samuel attends 1st grade at Fall Creek Elementary. Sam was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) in Jan-uary of 2013. DMD is a 100% fatal, genetic muscular disorder characterized by progressive muscular degeneration and weakness. PPMD is the largest organization focused on finding a cure for DMD. DMD research currently costs $85 per minute. The funds will help researchers find a cure for Sam and other boys affected with this disease. Our hope is to find a cure in Sam’s lifetime. Register for this race to support the Standers and PPMD. Together, we can end Duchenne.
