you will be able to join the fun.
Spanish Phone Line
We now have a dedicated Spanish language phone line.
The line will be available beginning Monday, December 9th
.
It will be possible to leave a message on the phone line at
any time. The messages will be checked each morning be-
tween 8:00 am and 10:00 am by Carmen Whetzel, an FCE
staff member. Mrs. Whetzel is a fluent Spanish speaker
and will respond to the messages in a timely manner. The

Early Release Day
Thursday, December 5th is an Early Release Day. Students
will be dismissed at 12:00pm. Kindergarten car riders will
be dismissed from the front driveway. Lunch will be
served.

It's Spelling Bee Time!!!!
It's time to start preparing for
our school spelling bee. Two rep-
resentatives will be chosen from
each classroom spelling bee in
grades 3-5. The classroom teach-
ers will conduct the classroom
spelling bees by Dec. 13th. Both
winners from each class will participate in the Fall Creek
Spelling Bee on Tuesday, January 14th at 8:30 AM.
Students may go to the website www.myspellit.com to
look at word lists and suggestions for studying. Each class-
room winner and runner-up will receive a Spell It! study
booklet to prepare for the school spelling bee.
Encourage your child to study and prepare
for their upcoming classroom bee!
Attention 5th Grade Parents:
The holidays are here and our 5th
graders
are busy working on their musical, The X-
Mas Files. You are invited to our perform-
ance on Thursday, December 19th
.
We will have 3 performances that day at 8:30 a.m., 9:30
a.m., and 7:00 p.m. Your child will be dressed in their cos-
tumes at school before the performance.
Please make sure your child arrives on Thursday night no
later than 6:30 p.m. They will report to the 5th
grade class-
rooms to change into their costumes. ALL STUDENTS WITH
SPEAKING/SOLO SINGING PARTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE
AT THE EVENING PERFORMANCE.
You should have received a costume letter that lists your
child’s part and their costume requirements. Please have
all costumes turned in for review as soon as possible. The
deadline was December 2nd
.

being the November Box Tops winner!
Sweetly Support the 4th Grade Field Trip to Austin
The 4th grade will be selling many delicious sweets and
hot chocolate before and after the 4th Grade Choir per-
formance on December 12th and the 5th Grade Christmas
Program on December 19th.
All items will be $1 so bring your money and come enjoy
some great holiday goodies!
In order to be admitted into a class-
room winter party a valid picture ID
will be required. Only individuals on
the child’s contact list will be admit-

through our Empty Stocking Toy Drive. Your 2013 gift can help us make the wonderful SEASON OF SHARING
