selected for the Brain Korea 21 Project and University for Creative Korea Project, received 16 million KRW fund from GS Korea, selected for the ECO-STAR project with 12 billion KRW fund, received 4.5 million KRW from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, received 10 million KRW funding from the Korea Institute of Marine Science & Technology and received over 60 million KRW from the Korea government for research projects in 2014.

- Business Administration, International Trade: is accredited by Korea Association of Business Education Accreditation (KABEA) for its undergraduate academic excellence (only 27 universities among over 400 Korean universities) and undergraduate+graduate program (only 10 universities in Korea). The curriculum focuses on thorough understanding of business management and international trade as academic disciplines, combined with theoretical applications in the real-world through case studies.

- Language and Literature majors: The curriculums include teaching of practical Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese and Arabic language as a second language.

- Korean Language Courses: Different levels of Korean language courses from beginner to advanced and specialized courses on writing and presentation are provided.

- Public Administration: Several courses focused on Korea and Asia are provided in English by academically outstanding professors.

- Political Science and Diplomacy: offers specialized courses by EU specialist and Korean/American election specialist professors. One-of-a-kind course in political philosophy is provided.

- Digital Media (Mass Media): Equipped with high-tech studio and filming utensils. - Architecture: First in Asia to be accredited for 5-year course and second in the world. Myongji

University is the only university in Korea that offers Korean traditional architecture and operates a small traditional folk village in Yongin campus.

- Engineering majors: is accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering Education of Korea (ABEEK). Students are educated in cutting-edge technology laboratories. Civil Engineering is ranked as number one in Korea and the Hybrid-center is the best in Korea (only six were authorized by the Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation among over 400 Korean universities). Electrical/ Electronics/Mechanical Engineering departments were selected in the University for Creative Korea Project by the Ministry of Education. If more than seven students apply for a same curriculum, a customized course can be offered in English.

- Art majors: Division of Film and Musical is the center of Hallyu (Korean Wave) with globally well-known Korean popular celebrities such as Park Bogum (actor), Jonghyun Key and Taemin (Shinee), Sandeul (B1A4), Bora (Sistar), Yoonho and Joonsu (TVXQ), Yubin (Wonder Girls), Seongmin and Donghae (Super Junior).

- Physical Education majors: Myongji is renowned for its world-famous professors (team coaches, referees, casters) and excellent sports facilities. Ji-Sung Park (football player, Manchester United) is a graduate of Myongji (BA and MA).

- Baduk Studies: The only higher education in the world that teaches Baduk (the game Go) as an academic major and the leader of the academic field.

- Korean Language Institute (KLI): KLI provides high quality education from experienced professors who hold nationally accredited Korean Language Teaching certificate. International exchange student receive a 50% tuition-waiver.

- First Ubiquitous High-tech IT Library in Korea - LG-Yeonam Library with largest and oldest collection in Korea related to Korean history: It was

Dormitory

The Dormitory Building in Seoul Campus was built in 2006, a 9-story building with a capacity of 864 students with 309 rooms. There are five Dormitory Buildings in Yongin Campus which can host 1,872 students. Each room is equipped with beds, closets, desks, shelves, a telephone, LAN system, air conditioning and refrigerators. Also TVs are equipped in the lounges, and microwaves, electric burners & kettles in the kitchen for simple cooking.Various subsidiary facilities are also available including a laundry room, a seminar room and a convenience store.

Services Provided to the International Students

Oulami (International Outreach Student Club): Peer Support (daily life and cultural excursions)OULAMI are elite students who are selected to represent Myongji University. They help international students to get settled and accompany in official cultural excursions. They also host regular weekly activities, where international students are welcomed to participate freely, such as tasting Korean food, visiting cultural sites, playing board games, trying out different traditional costumes, enjoying sports games and watching movies.

Global Buddy Program: Academic SupportGlobal Buddy students are selected academically talented students who help international degree-seeking students with academics. One Buddy is assigned to 3-4 international students and the Buddy meets each international student once on a weekly basis. International students can consult their Buddy regarding homework, class group projects and other academic assignments. At the same time, Global Buddy students assist the international students in managing their graduation credits and other requirements.
