MEANING OF MOTIVATION Motivation is derived from the Latin word ‘movere’ which
means ‘to move’ or ‘to energize’ or ‘to activate’. Motivation means the process of creating desire or felling of
work among the employees. Motivation means the process of creating willingness to work
more efficiency or to work hard.
Definition of motivation:-Motivation is the willingness to exert high level of efforts
towards organizational goals.

MASLOW ‘S THEORY OF MOTIVATION:-Hierarchy of Needs
Abraham Maslow has developed a theory of motivation in which he has arranged the need in a hierarchy. According to this theory it is the unsatisfied need which motivates a person to behave in particular manner. According to this theory within every person there is a hierarchy of five types of needs.
